Dear Friends,
Critical thinking and investigation are more important than ever and I’m asking your help to keep it going on Trish Wood is Critical and to participate in our fundraiser. Donation details are below. We know there are now many indy journos asking for your help but we’ve been here for five years, through it all and intend to keep at it as long as we can.
We’ve added two weekday “check-ins” we call meltdowns and later in the fall we will be expanding into a YouTube channel.
The erosion of our way of life comes from outside and sadly, from within. And the best we can do right now is keep our wits about us, see through the nonsense and keep thinking critically. Sometimes we do Canada and other times we focus on the globalist agenda that is affecting all Western nations. We are building a lovely community of commentators as well.
For average Canadians, like us, we face sands shifting quickly under our feet as those in the political class become less and less attuned to our needs and even as they forget the vague promises they make during election campaigns. There is simply no accountability.
The work we did here during the last election helped set the journalistic agenda, receiving attention and praise at the highest levels of journalism — including from Matt Taibbi who broke the Twitter-files story striking a massive blow against COVID-19 censorship.
This is not only politics but survival as I fear the country might not come back from another globally-focused Liberal government. And with Donald Trump floundering on a number of promises including the Epstein files non-release, all we can do is wonder if anyone at all is listening. I’d hoped a MAGA/MAHA success south of the border would inspire our politicians here.
Our new prime minister was recently revealed to be officially conflicted in dozens of business relationships — something we exposed during the campaign and which should have precluded him from running at all. But that’s not the world we live in.
The documents outlining the mechanics of the ArrivCan scandal have been sealed by a judge. We still lack a budget. And we are haemorrhaging money overseas against the wishes of most Canadians.
Today we are asking for a one-time donation outside of the subscription model to help keep the lights on and us working the many stories that shape our lives.

Stay critical!
And thanks as ever for your kind support.
(I have now convinced my bank to accept foreign checks and a couple that were held back can now go through.)
Had you considered the “Buy Me a Coffee” option?
It might reap bennies from those who have yet to support, but are taken with a particular podcast.
Even those who are already supporters might click in extra appreciation :^}
Hi Trish. I’m not sure this is a great idea. An unsolicited email asking for unspecified amounts of money to be made via online payments…? What is an “email transfer”?
Honestly, initially I thought this was a scam from someone pretending to be you.
I think I already send you money each month which I’m happy to do. If you have another specific goal for a specific purpose I’d consider that too.
