THREE VIDEOS AND A FUNERAL
plus Trish's interview with the great Chris Hedges
My head was spinning like Linda Blair this week trying to keep up with all the explosive news being delivered by hidden video. Three, over a four-day period. It felt like an episode of Hollywood Babylon and had me questioning my reality as was my friend Karen Hunt in a great SS piece.
Watching Project Veritas latest BOMBSHELL video on Twitter, along with more than 23 million viewers, it felt as if the last bit of solid ground beneath our feet had fallen away, and we were now truly descending into madness where nothing is real anymore, it’s just a matter of believing what we see, no matter how crazy it may be.
Video from one renegade indy news organization with no obvious accountability structure and two from police body-cams without much context or comment portrayed events that we may never know the actual full truth of. We are left to pick over what we’ve seen, what it means and how we are supposed to feel about it. This informational diaspora — facts that we all see differently and can’t agree on — will be the end of us if we don’t sort it out soon.
Governments, public broadcasters and corporate media who spin the misinformation and disinformation mantra to hide their own lies and perfidy are worse than Joseph Goebbels and in a sense more successful. They can get away with almost anything and just because something is caught on tape doesn’t mean there will be accountability or a shared belief in what it portrays. But I do think we draw closer to truth when videos like these are released.
Thank goodness that in the thick of it I got to interview Chris Hedges, a Pulitzer Prize winning journo who thinks deeply about war, faith and the dying American Empire. His take on deadly solitude sums up where we are now after decades of cultural narcissism and life under the Covid regime. First up, the absurd and sometimes hilarious but ultimately scary Project Veritas undercover recording of a senior Pfizer exec blowing up his career for a gay hook-up. Not sure what was more bizarre — that Jordon Walker, a seemingly neurotic and dishonest character had a high-level gig or that he would violate his corporate NDA to get laid.
Perhaps most bizarre is the actual content of what he revealed which is put into scientific perspective by Eugyppius — whom I deeply trust. These are Walker’s claims made to his pizza parlour date.
One of the things we’re exploring is like, why don’t we just mutate it ourselves so we could create – preemptively develop new vaccines, right? So, we have to do that. If we’re gonna do that though, there’s a risk of like, as you could imagine – no one wants to be having a pharma company mutating fucking viruses.
Don’t tell anyone. Promise you won’t tell anyone. The way it would work is that we put the virus in monkeys, and we successively cause them to keep infecting each other, and we collect serial samples from them.
You have to be very controlled to make sure that this virus that you mutate doesn’t create something that just goes everywhere. Which, I suspect, is the way that the virus started in Wuhan, to be honest. It makes no sense that this virus popped out of nowhere. It’s bullshit.
From what I’ve heard is they are optimising it, but they’re going slow because everyone is very cautious – obviously they don’t want to accelerate it too much. I think they are also just trying to do it as an exploratory thing because you obviously don’t want to advertise that you are figuring out future mutations.
On camera — in the sting — Walker’s defense was that he is a liar — an attribute Pfizer might be recruiting for these days in their executives. Walker is both gay and black so one wonders, however unfairly, if he was a diversity hire. I suspect his career in Big Pharma is over. Walker also pulled a fast one in a call to police alleging he didn’t feel safe around the five white people some of whom had done nothing but record him exposing what he claimed are company secrets.
Next up, the Paul Pelosi video, recorded on the night he was savagely attacked by an intruder while home alone in San Francisco. Those who believed, before the video was released, that Pelosi was in the midst of a gay encounter with a rough-trade-boy — continue to see that or have reverted to I’m still confused, instead of admitting they are very likely wrong. I’m with Glenn Beck on this.
The image of Pelosi in his PJ top and boxers, standing just beyond the doorway with his hand on a hammer also held by the intruder doesn’t suggest a tryst - despite the fact Mr. P was also holding a drink of some kind. I think he was trying to keep the situation calm until he could get away.
The tell is in the 911 call. It’s clear Pelosi is signaling to the dispatcher that something is wrong — but trying to say it in such a way that it doesn’t inflame the intruder. Listening to it is frustrating and the 911 person clearly needs more training.
Nancy’s husband is no saint and after an accident, was caught driving drunk, perhaps with an unknown person in the vehicle. Those of us in recovery would suggest that Mr. Pelosi, who owns a vineyard is very likely an alcoholic. And of course the jokes write themselves — he drinks too much and you would too if you were married to NP.
The video is like a Rorschach ink-blot test of how much you hate the Democrats and Nancy in particular. But it ends in a gruesome and sickening hammer attack on this elderly man who seems to have been schmoozing his captor to stay alive.
Then at 7 PM EST on Friday, Memphis police released bodycam and other video showing a dreadful beating that would eventually kill 29-year-old Tyre Nichols. He was attacked by five black police officers who have been charged — in a city with a black mayor and police chief and yet media is making yet another meal out of racism.
It is a video I watched because I am a journo — and one I wish I hadn’t. The older I get the less stomach I have for such things. I accept that we must witness but there are times I want to step away — from all of it. Sadly — as a mother of grown young men, learning that yet another dying man called for his mom shatters my heart into pieces and I’m sure Mrs. Nichols will dwell on that for the rest of her life. She was less than a block away.
There were fire and rescue people standing around while Tyre lay dying — which flies in the face of their training and likely, the law. But a bigger question for all of us is their lack of simple humanity. Is this where an element of racism DOES come in? Would a young white man have been left on the road without medical care after a severe beating, spiralling downward into oblivion? Just asking.
Protests erupted after days of online organizing but I didn’t see any Black Lives Matter signs or merch — doesn’t mean there wasn’t any but this was odd.
Antifa was represented as were the young, pink-haired, guilt-ridden and indoctrinated sons and daughters of the laptop class who in photos seem to outnumber black people. I’m sure they hope their critical race theory profs are marking them well for this performance.
Will the unrest gain major traction? It’s unclear. I’m hearing it is targeting Joe Biden in a replay of the George Floyd riots aimed at Donald Trump. That Obama’s side of the party let them loose. At this point, nothing would surprise me.
We all know by now that the white college kids who think they are edgy and cool for shouting All Cops Are Bastards are nothing more than Antifa’s useful idiots. And nothing changes for America’s downtrodden unless the overlords want it to. They want a race war so we don’t notice the class war. As long as pols and elites are blaming white supremacy — no one is pointing a finger at them.
And that brings me to my conversation with Chris Hedges — who happens to be a socialist but one with whom most of you, my dear supporters, will agree — on many issues.
In the meantime in one of the sleaziest media relations plays of our time — Pfizer cynically waited for the world to become obsessed with the murder of Tyre Nichols when his tapes dropped Friday night at 7.
An hour later at 8 PM, Pfizer finally posted a world salad response to the Project Veritas video — perhaps believing the heavily circulating images of a brutalized young American would offer a little protection — something Tyre Nichols was denied.
