VACCINES STORY NOT ONE OF TRIUMPH BUT OF POLITICS AND GREED
a risky process was whitewashed to give Biden the win
I spent the weekend far down a rabbit hole researching a vaccine special for the podcast. It was a bad, bad place to be. The gist: people I respect are reporting sky-is-falling numbers for AE (adverse events). The analysis in both links isn’t perfect - I had them reviewed by a high-level medical journal insider with vaccine expertise - but he reports the findings are very troubling.
And Dr. Jessica Rose does great work on how VAERS, American AE reporting system, is blinking red.
Meanwhile the federal government and public health apparatchiks are ramping up vaccinations for healthy children, who absolutely don’t need them. Marty Makary of Johns Hopkins reviewed the data and found: a Covid mortality rate of ZERO among children without a pre-existing medical condition such as leukemia. ZERO.
The Flimsy Evidence Behind the CDC’s Push to Vaccinate Children - Wall Street Journal - July 19, 2021
Yet arguing the evidence-based truth that healthy children don’t need the vaccine brings a round of vertigo-inducing responses like but what if the child brings the virus home to grandma? Of course the simple answer is that grandma should already be vaccinated to prevent transmission from the child. This puts our jab advocate on a rocky footing. Should they admit vaccines don’t stop transmission? But this would destroy their own first salvo. Should they revert to it lessens disease severity? Well that actually proves that healthy children don’t need the jab since they don’t get seriously ill or die. Sadly, this easy layup never makes it through the hoop, cognitively speaking.
More mandated boosters lurk on the horizon for fall as efficacy catastrophically fails. Vaccine policy resembles the desperate flailings of a gambling addict on a losing streak at the craps table — doubling down on a failing strategy in hope his fortunes will change. His inner adult says, No one is throwing hard eights tonight so stop chasing the sucker’s bet. But he persists, red faced and sweaty because it’s too painful to admit he is the sucker.
Evidence suggests that the more jabbed you are, the more likely you will get sick multiple times with the Rona. This is why the jab-happy narrative versus alarming and credible analysis of the data by non-regulatory experts and talented amateurs, creates a debilitating cognitive dissonance. Jabbers do not countenance criticism of the vaccine, no matter how deeply fact-based it might be.
Our multi-jabbed Prime Minister, just back from Cali with a case of C-19 is the best argument against his own, just suspended travel persecution of the unvaxxed. In the tweet below he ascribes the mildness of his symptoms to the vaccine - unknowable with a mild variant circulating. And his own infection undermines the no-fly policy based on transmission prevention. Perhaps this bit of prime ministerial lunacy embarrassed his caucus into supporting the suspension since their own leader had become Exhibit “A” for the ban’s critics.
So how do we resolve it? Can a major public health crisis perhaps caused by the vaccine be unfolding before our very eyes — yet go completely unnoticed by our regulatory agencies and legacy media? Substack is awash with excellent analysis that corporate media won’t touch. Why? Has professional class groupthink become so toxic that they are subconsciously writing-off the VI (vaccine injured) as having taken one for the team? Does this include Justin Bieber, a vocal supporter of the jab who may be vaccine injured?
How are medical examiners around the world categorizing myocarditis deaths in recently vaccinated young people? Is there a global, WHO-type edict to enforce death certificate data collection? Beyond number crunching, terrifying excess death reports and anecdotal stories, how will we ever get to the bottom of this? And of course the more people who are vaccinated, the more tricky it is to study.
Decades of true crime and judicial reporting trained me to think there is always an evidence-based answer to a complex problem like — did Nova Scotia carpenter Clayton Johnson murder his wife, Janice or did she fall down the stairs?
My team at The Fifth Estate believed Johnson was wrongfully convicted and by deep-diving the evidence boxes we found proof a grave mistake had been made. It was rational, logical and demonstrable. The crime scene was lacking credible blood spatter evidence. Without it, the case for bludgeoning fell apart and with it the Crown’s theory of the crime. It was clear Janice Johnson’s death was an accident. Her husband was released and well compensated because our team, with his expert lawyer, followed the evidence and the courts listened. The episode is worth watching. Do forgive my helmet hair and the somewhat dated production values.
But what would have happened to Johnson if the courts had refused to hear the evidence and to protect the prosecutors, had trashed our findings as disinformation and demanded our investigation be pulled? An innocent man would have remained in prison.
So here we sit. Evidence of harm mounting. Efficacy waning. And the only acceptable response is let’s do more of the same and let’s jab more children, too.
How did we get to this tragic and dangerous place - where the people who should be protecting us, protect only the reputation of vaccines and themselves for blindly embracing the shot? Looking back yesterday to the fall of 2020, just before Pfizer made its announcement, I was jolted to discover a CNN headline that provides part of the answer.
Past vaccine disasters show why rushing a coronavirus vaccine now would be 'colossally stupid' - CNN - Sept.1, 2020
What?
This headline predates the Pfizer announcement by just three months.
Isn’t that what many of the so-called anti-vaxxers have been saying all along? Slow down until we know more. This was written, before vaccine criticism was verboten, by CNN’s health reporter quoting a number of experts who were rightly dubious, cataloguing the bad outcomes that happen when vaccines are rushed.
One expert, Dr. Howard Markel, a distinguished professor and paediatrician said the Trump administration was colossally stupid for rushing the vaccine.
This is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve heard the administration say. All it takes is one bad side effect to basically botch a vaccine program that we desperately need against this virus. It is a prescription for disaster, Markel said.
We now have thousands of reports alleging bad side effects and deaths but this vaccine program isn’t anywhere near being botched or undermined - the opposite. The eligible demographic grows as do calls for boosters.
Michael Kinch, a professor of radiation oncology who wrote a book about the history of vaccine development summed up a nightmare scenario if the vaccine were not studied long enough. This is how the CNN reporter summed up Professor Kinch’s concerns in September of 2020:
One: the vaccine may not be safe. Two, if it’s not safe people will lose faith in vaccines. Three, if a vaccine doesn’t offer complete protection, people will have a false sense of security and increase their risk. Four, if a substandard vaccine gets EUA, a better vaccine may never get approval because people would be reluctant to enroll in trials and risk getting placebo instead of a vaccine. People are going to die unnecessarily if we take chances with this. We’ve got to get this right.
Both Markel and Kinch made sensible warnings about a truncated trials process.
And they weren’t the only ones. Democrats and legacy media had their own axe to grind. However the issue wasn’t the vaccine itself but that it was being developed under their arch nemesis, Donald Trump - as if he were in the lab himself, mixup up batches.
Both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris made sure the country knew during the 2020 campaign they would never take a vaccine credited to the Trump administration.
Biden warns against rushing out coronavirus vaccine, says Trump cannot be trusted - Reuters - Sept 16, 2020
What changed between this skepticism and the vaccine lovefest that followed Pfizer’s announcement on November 9, 2020?
Today is a great day for science and humanity, Albert Bourla, Pfizer’s chairman and chief executive, said.
Just two days earlier it became official that Donald Trump had lost the election. It was no longer his vaccine. Bourla’s bold announcement seemed timed to not give Trump the win. Democrats made it clear they would not support his vaccine. Are we really expected to believe that the trial results were only finalized that week?
One thing Bourla did know, his biggest customer would be the winner of the presidential election. If Trump won, holding back was no issue. If Biden won, but Bourla had already given Trump the credit, there would certainly be massive blowback from Trump-vaxx-anti-vaxxers like Biden, Harris and corporate media.
It’s possible Bourla hedged his bets. He heard the power elites in DC and legacy media loud and clear when they signalled they would not support his billion dollar baby if it enhanced Trump’s currency, especially if it helped him beat Biden, the Beltway’s preferred candidate.
By delaying, Pfizer gave Biden defacto credit for the shot and when he did, all media criticism of it ceased. Biden’s campaign pledge to not impose mandates also vanished, guaranteeing endless profits for Pfizer.
Same product, same pharmaceutical company. Same REALLY SHORT trials period. The only difference; the steaming pile of dirty politics and tribal alliances that have corrupted the entire pandemic response.
There are few clean players in the story of C-19 vaccine development. The governments, regulators, scientists and legacy media swooned at the feet of Big Pharma’s money and power while reducing citizens to cattle status, instructed to shut up, take the shot and don’t ask too many questions.
I’m still looking for an evidence box to get to the bottom of it all. But right now, I have no answers. Just a growing sense that some terrible things are happening to us all, on many fronts and that it might be years before we understand the whole story.
So, back to work.
Stay critical.
The world would be a better place with more journalists like Trish. Spot on analysis. Thanks Trish. Your podcast has kept me grounded throughout this whole mess.
I hope more people will start to question the whole schedule now. I’m a teacher and have watched an explosion of special needs in our children, many put down to reasons like “had a stroke as an infant”. AEs have been hidden in plain sight for decades.
