Trish, you mentioned in the podcast that women in general, and feminists in particular, had been early supporters of the "gay" movement, and I agree -- you were. With great respect, let me ask you to consider how good an idea that was, in retrospect. There's a clear line of descent from the sexually-inverted fraternity and sorority to this novel form of perversion. I see the feminists' early support of the L and G parts of today's growing alphabet soup as being like the way some people think it's cute to adopt an adorable little chimpanzee as a pet and companion. It turns out that a grownup chimpanzee is an extremely strong and aggressive beast that is quite capable of, and sometimes willing to, kill an adult human, and in ugly ways. What happened to Kellie-Jay is obviously unacceptable, and you're right when you say that men wearing pants are obliged to stand between women and men wearing dresses, and protect them (the real women, that is). I accept that obligation, and am ready to do so, personally.

But I would like to hear some hint of recognition that Kellie-Jay's mobbing is an instance of the feminists' exotic pets growing up in a strange and horrible way, and turning on them.

“This is what happens when women try to speak?” Really!?

This is the kind of headline statement made by journalists that reveals them to be seekers of sensational stories that divide people by some personal characteristics such as colour, race, religion, etcetera. Recall what happened when Dr. Jordan Peterson was accosted at the University of Toronto when facing angry students who insisted that he call them by their preferred pronouns. He paid the price for not submitting to compelled speech. The price Jordan paid is likely greater than what Kelly-Jay will suffer from her Auckland event.

My point is, woke ideology in all of its manifestations is a problem for everyone who expects to be protected under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms in Canada, and the equivalent constitutional rights in other democratic nations.

If the headline had read “This is what happens to anyone who chooses to publicly exercise freedom of speech in today’s ‘woke moment’ of history”, I would not be writing this. The fact that it was portrayed by you, Trish, as a case of female victimology and a “feminism” issue, was disappointing to me as an “old school” man (age 71). I am a long time supporter of your show and have come to expect more of you than this spin of the Auckland event as a feminist issue.

I don’t doubt that your life lens was shaped by your career in journalism, and especially the Fifth Estate, which trained you to seek sensational stories and leverage them to attract readers/viewers. “Eyeballs that pay” are good for business. I don’t blame you for trying to expand your customer base. I am simply disappointed that you chose to portray this story as a feminist issue and not an issue for every ‘freedom lover’ who feels threatened by growing public ignorance (an instance of mass formation psychosis?) and an aggressive manifestation of an increasingly balkanized society.

Yes, I feel sad that Kelly-Jay became a public victim that day in Aukland, but I wish you had made the story about the decline of Democracy by a thousand cuts rather than about one unfortunate event that could have occurred to either a man (like Dr. Peterson) or woman. Fight for all of us, Trish, not just women. Put away your “old school feminist” persona and replace it with a media avatar (think Wonder Woman) who champions the cause of freedom and safety for everyone equally without favouring the cause of feminism.

Hi Gene.....I'm afraid I both agree and disagree. There is a large element of the TRA movement that hates women and it is depicted on their signs and in their words. That doesn't mean that other people, like Jordan aren't also attacked in a similarly scary way. I'm a feminist -- old school who had to fight for everything I have, always paid my own way and was frequently the first to achieve things as a woman in various professional endeavors. My point is that with 86 thousand women a year being killed by people they know, for our whole social apparatus to remake itself for the small number of legitimately trans people -- based on bad data BTW - is painful. Like we don't matter. You and I don't have to agree on everything to have meaningful exchanges. As a pretty levelled-headed person, I ask you to respect how I feel and continue to debate. Cheers.....and thanks for your ongoing support. BTW -- at The Fifth we weren't picking sensational stories and I can defend every one of them. Have a great Sunday!

.... in the Freedom of Informed Choice and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, I respect your rights to freedoms of speech, the press, and association. My comments were to point out that, by isolating the Posie Parker storey as a feminist media story, it reinforces the fracturing of society from “identity politics” rather than leveraging the same story as serious issue for everyone regardless of any personal identity metric. Justin Trudeau and his coterie of paid spokespersons in the MSM are already generating fear-mongering and ‘social justice’ animosity that is turning Canada into a national mud-wresting free-for-all between every special interest community possible. Can we not pull people - men and women - under a common cause against a common enemy without adding fuel to an already inflamed divide between men and women?

My guess is that 99.9% of men are respectful of women. A also guest that much of the animosity within the feminist ranks is a cat fight between women with opposing, emotionally-charged convictions that prompt them to be aggressive towards each other. Too often, feminists speak in a manner that suggests all men are perpetrators of oppression against women. As a professional recruiter for 36 years, I conducted over 10,000 job interviews. During those interviews, the differences between men and women with respect to interests, talents, expectations, motivators, levels of ambition, etcetera, were always evident. That perspective never left me and continues to provide a backdrop of understanding against which I consider feminist claims and expressed issues.

In Kellie’s case, I suspect that the crowd would have reacted the same if the speaker was a man who was known to hold the same public views. This is why I wrote my message to you knowing enough about your feminist history to suspect that my comments may not be favourably accepted. I only hoped that you may look to the future to embrace the facts that all of is are victims of political and media tyrants.

As a man who had nothing to do with the Auckland event, I felt “othered” by your coverage of the story - othered as a member of the male sex which, collectively, is been claimed responsible for past (and present?) issues that some women have had with some man. Collectivism always sacrified the individual for a language construct “the greater good”.

Every man that I know is always sensitive to the concerns and fears of women. The expression “happy wife, happy life” did not arise from a vacuum. No man that I know would see truth in the statement “this is what happens when women speak” which infers that men are to blame. I am not.

An important, overlooked fact that is driving me bonkers. People living with disabilities, and I am one, have all of our lives had to jump through hoops to prove that we need accommodations to enable our equitable participation in society. We have had to supply doctor's notes and all manner of supporting documentation, even for minor accommodations of low cost. There were/are epic battles just to to have basic needs and dignity met with accessible washrooms (still far too few). And when it comes to disability benefits, one has to be just about dead and unable to lift a pencil to qualify for a pension, or CRA disabled status.

And now, the ultimate insult to injury, any person can simply stand up and say "I am trans", with no diagnosis or documentation of any kind, and the woke govts & orgs at all levels literally trip over themselves to accommodate them. And now the supremely woke Trudeau throws 75k out for each and every trans person who wants to medically transition. 🤬

An estimated 1 in 5 Canadians are living with at least one disability. The disabled cohort is the largest single minority group in the world. Inclusion used to be associated with accessibility. That word, too, has been usurped by the trans activists and ESG/DEI proponents. People now equate inclusion with trans. It is 💔 beyond measure.

Go woke, go broke applies to more than money. It applies to hearts and minds. The price society pays for supporting all this insanity, now and in the future, is incalculable. Disconcerting does not even come close...

And yet more transgender related violence. Three children and three adults shot to death at a Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee by a biological woman identifying as a trans-man. While families and parents mourn theses tragic and senseless losses, left-wing media are 1. Worried about the mis-gendering of the shooter. 2. Trying to blame the shooting on Tennessee's passage of laws that ban drag queen sex shows for children and ban 'gender' affirming' hormone treatments and surgery on minors, and three 3. Blaming it all on the Republicans and their standing in the way of passing more gun control legislations. 4. Very few acknowledging the switftness with which brave police put an end to the killings before more lives were lost. 5. The DOJ and the FBI refusing to call it a hate crime, when it was, in fact, a targeted crime against a Christian school. Yet, no one asking much about the shooter's manifesto. No one is asking about the mental condition of the shooter. No one asking if this shooter was on any drug or hormone therapy related to transitioning, because in many cases biological woman who begin taking testosterone can get pretty mentally messed up and aggressive. Instead legacy media are twisting themselves inside out to a figure out a way to make the tragedy fit their pro-trans narrative.

Supposedly, the murderer's manifesto will be made public. I assume it's taking the FBI a long time to write it, though. They're not really all that bright.

Yes there are a small number of physical and psychological Trans people. About ~1/1000; they used to be called morphodites and now mosaics but if this latest trans narrative du jour isn't mysogeny in disguise I don't know what is. Of course it's a distraction and a mind control agent but the mysogeny is so brutal it's hard to tolerate for this old man. At my age I've seen some of what women have had to do to get some semblance of fairness and equality and to give it up for this sucks and feminists are in many cases leading the charge? Notice you don't see ANY Male trans people in athletic competition because the whole thing is a giant scam. It's time to call it out! It's time to fight! It's time to be mad as hell and not take it anymore! Good luck women, you've done it before and you can do it again!

There's another (deep) aspect to the trans issue that I suspect most people don't know about. I certainly did not ... until I read this Dr. Toby Rogers item last year. It's a shocker. 'Trans messaging is too sophisticated to be the work of a small sexual minority dealing with severe health issues.

It appears to me that someone else is driving these messaging campaigns and the question is who?'

i've been following Kellie-Jay since she first appeared on Triggernometry 3 years ago. She's been a voice of sanity and she has not been afraid to speak the truth. This is an issue for women because we are always supposed to be "nice' and "not hurt people's feelings". This is what the trans movement tries to use against us and it's what has captured our daughters... don't upset the nice trans lady, it's not nice" when they are being the absolutely worst misogynists. And of course their mythology makes no sense... if there's no such thing as biological sex how can anyone be trans? There supposedly is nothing to "trans" to. UGH. The utter stupidity and villainy make me so angry. Thanks Trish! Would love it if you could get Kellie-Jay on your show!!

Thanks, Janet. I am always interested in certain social phenomenon and how they fester. None of this would be happening without support of the legacy media who primed the pump against Kellie-Jay before she even got there. I suspect lawsuits against captured doctors might put an end to all of this but in the meantime great damage is being done. To women and children.

While I appreciate this is being fomented upon us to keep the population unbalanced and fighting with each other, it's really gone much too far when women are now being erased from sports and other areas where we once had equal opportunities. If I had trained a lifetime only to be taken out by a man claiming to be a woman, I would not sit in silence. Our young women need to find their backbone and take a stand. Like we did.

The U departments involved must be closed down but they are so rich -- they act with impunity. Do listen to my podcast with Jennifer Bilek. She followed the money and it is not pretty. "Trans" billionaire globalists are funding it including one in Canada who used to own Sirius Satellite radio. The money goes into universities who become the "experts" advising schools and hospitals. Science is not at play at all. Pritzker family in Illinois -- "trans" cousin also pouring money into it.
