Hi Trish! I so often think of contacting you, so I thought I'd do so here - to thank you for the voice of sanity you provide. I've been listening to your podcast for about a year now, and it never fails to provide quality reporting, commentary, and caring!
One thing I'd like to add to the conversations as a consideration: we so often speak of our 'leaders' as having made mistakes - particularly in how they handled Covid. But I do not think that is the case. I think they are doing exactly what they have always intended, science be damned, to facilitate their desire to herd us into the global tyranny - not making mistakes based on bad advice or science, but intentional implementing policies of control. The cognitive dissonance created from having to follow orders when they don't make any medical sense is part of the package - a desired outcome which enables even more control.
Facts and sense don't matter to these people. Only control matters. They've demonstrated that perfectly during Covid, no more so than in your country. JT is doing exactly as he has been instructed by his masters - the global power elite who are his actual constituency. These people are convinced that the quantity and quality of people in the world are the problem, and that peace, community, abundance, and prosperity are not possible. They're dead wrong.
IQ is dependent in part to iodine intake from conception to age 21. Back in the early 1900s we introduced iodine to salt to handle the growing thyroid deficient issues like goiter, note that we overload our thyroid with iodine in a nuclear disaster so that our thyroid will not absorb the radiation. I wonder what the compliance of this gene therapy injection would have been IF we were not mandated to take it? Did it help? NO is the real answer, but the justification camp will say it did, because the alternative makes them look like fools or victims. Omicron was clearly spread throughout the world by fully vaccinated people and the rate of mortality today is over 85% fully vaccinated. JT is a petulant child and many are in agreement with him by default with very little consideration of what is actually happening here. Very sorry to hear you had to miss your son's graduation - the cruelty of these laws is unbelievable. Meanwhile, in Australia, with an elderly mother having numerous prolonged hospital stays, I've had to use Jedi mind control-like methods to appeal to the COVID sentries to get in - usually two sets of guards, one to check your QR code tracker and the other to check your digital vaccine certificate, with the added threat of doing RAT tests once you get to the ward and being scolded about correct mask etiquette and the rest. Everyone knows that it is pure bloody theatre!
I am so sorry you weren't able to attend your son's graduation. It's sickening what has happened to the most basic freedoms in this country.
When those of us without papers lost the freedom to fly or take the train, my worst fear was that one of my loved ones in another area of the country would end up in the hospital and I wouldn't be able to be with them. Now my worst fear has come true as my university student daughter became ill during work at her part time job and was rushed last Sunday to the hospital in Waterloo. I live in Alberta. Even if I were able to get to Waterloo I wouldn't be able to enter the hospital. I wouldn't be able to visit my own daughter! If need be I will get into the car and drive there, but I shouldn't have to do that.
Why?! Why would they go back once they had "escaped?" Why go to the trouble of escaping for a vacation? Are they just as spoiled as Americans? I'm dumbfounded.
All the rational voices in QP are now gone: no more Baber, Karahalios, Hillier or Nicholls. It is hard not to feel wounded today. 6 million people didn't even bother to vote. There WERE alternatives.

My daughter , just back from the states ,says Toronto is so depressing and ugly and can't believe how backwards it feels with respect to people still in masks etc. as if they haven't moved on - apparently we haven't and remain a very scared population as I noting while voting yesterday - most in masks and still very frightened . Do people not read or see anything about other places moving on ?
