I don't know what kind of evidence formed the basis for this case, however I believe that the charges were serious (conspiracy to assassinate a police officer and terrorism, I think).

If there was a real basis for these charges, allowing the two men a plea bargain prior to trial does not reflect well on our justice system. On the other hand, if there was no solid evidence upon which to back up these very serious charges, holding two men in prison without bail for two years also reflects poorly on the justice system.

I have my opinions on which side the truth falls based on the behaviour of the government and courts on things Covid-related. It is yet another revelation of either gross incompetence or rampant corruption.

Gaza is a state of mind. Canadians’ have been subjected to a regime of brainwashing from their births to their deaths. Strange to me how readily Canadians accept an unaccountable government run by a man who either cannot or won’t speak for Canada.

Canada accepts all kinds of expensive social systems which lead to the shortage of doctors; as an example.

Schools in Canada are full of union employees whom are more or less baby sitters or guards or brainwashers — take your pick.

Whole word rather than phonetics is a travesty. Today young people do not understand how to have a conversation or ask a question. This is not an entirely new phenomena. School demands regurgitation —which can seldom lead to understanding and most certainly never lead to wisdom. Canadians are not the least bit curious. Travel is not touring aboard a giant floating barge; the one left behind at the dock.

TV is not interactive. In fact TV negatively affects brain functioning.

It is dangerous in that one is passive. The passive mind is a receptive mind but not an enquiring mind.

Remember - how, why, when, where, what and who and whom are not naturally engaged. Active minds ask questions — passive minds accept any old misinformation the MSM promotes as fact. Yet the talking heads’ parrot the “boy who would be king’s” every pronouncement. He is a proven liar! Why would any normal person, i.e. someone un compromised vote for a liar. What good are lies. The Federal Government is a body of men and women whom have abdicated. They know not what they do! They are brainwashed — every one bribed and compromised. They are bench warmers — bought off for the price of their pensions.

For the oligarchy they would be cheap at twice the price. What do we call such people? There are only impolite words — but they are well worn by the louts warming the government benches. Let me suggest pimps!

Our country has been dark for a very long time. I knew it the moment they elected Trudeau. As Mocha said SNC Lavalin showed Trudeau for who he was then. I can say, I knew long before this happened. But to kick his Justice Minister to the curb and put his lap dog Lametti in her place to do his bidding and lie about it, bold face lie, said it all. The Trudeau Liberals will do everything they can, use every dirty trick in the book to cover this up. And I fear they will do everything they can to stay in power, as they are starting to look at changing the election rules, tell me that isn't some forboding of things to come. Independent journalist like you need to stay on top of this.

Yes. I have a hard time being optimistic about any election regulations the liberals cook up…especially when it involves the NDP and excludes conservatives. This is just cartel behaviour, no other way to see it. Trudeau won’t be departing office without doing his utmost to leave a huge pile of wreckage behind. What a toddler. (No offence to toddlers)

"Cartel behaviour" is a very apt description.

Unbelievable that they were in jail for 2 years, and no one cared and no journalist took note.

No Mainstream Canadian Media journalist took note...

Plenty of Alt Media reporters did.

Hi Trish

Just wanted you to know that I have hounded my MP (Michael Chong) about this since your podcast with the young reporter. Our family discussed it at Christmas when we gathered and I conveyed that to Michael. His first response was laughable. “I will relay this to my colleagues”. I told him that was unacceptable and requested a call to discuss my concerns. To his credit he called last week. Initially he said he could not speak about a case before the courts. I am way to old to accept that (73) and said so. He said there was little he could do so I gave him a list of things the oath he took to protect our rights would allow him to do. Speak up in committees, ask the Attorney General for a an update on the status of this Federal case etc. He said he would. I am sure my little push on one MP did not have any effect but it can’t hurt. I got his attention and I bet he is paying attention now. I sent another letter yesterday and told him to get his head out of the Ottawa bubble and be more skeptical of the main stream narrative. Lol. Great work.

CBC went after Danielle Smith when she first got into office for trying to interfer with the prosecution of Aruthur Pawloski, she was accussed of sending emails, or contacting the Crown on his behalf. They dogged her on it. She had her office, public servants go through slews of emails to prove that she did not in fact do anything of the sort. And that turned out to be the case. So I would say she is a litte gun shy. When Liberals interfer in the courts, the media shut up, but when a Conservative do, they are like flies on shit.

Being in Ontario, I had no idea that this had happened to premier Smith.

I did notice Liberals and NDPers losing their s**t when Alberta's premier spoke with Tucker Carlson a couple of weeks back. What an arrogant and entitled pit of snakes we have in government.

It's behaviour like this that make me think that there is a divide in this country (and likely the US) that can never be bridged.

This is Stalinist stuff. They threaten you with the most terrifying punishment. They prove that they will do it and THEY HAVE UNLIMITED RESOURCES and no repercussions for wrong doing

So after an extended period in jail they offer you a deal for much Less punishment and are you willing to roll the dice knowing you're innocent but also after a couple of years in jail; are you gonna risk a lot more? Almost everyone in jail in the US is in on a plea deal and it's not much better here. I'll say it again, ALL you need to know about the legal industrial complexes are two words Julian Assange. Any senior Cop will tell you "it's not about justice, it's about process!" Hello, the cops committed hundreds of crimes on camera, sabatoged private property on private property and admitted to it because they know they're untouchable. As Hitler is reputed to have said "it's lucky the people are so dumb or we'd never be able to get away with this stuff!" Well Canadians, have you really looked in the mirror lately? Or; do you still believe "ALL the crap you learned in highschool"; are you "just another Brick in The wall?"

Thanks Trish for an informative interview with Mocha.

Is all that is required to deny bail for those accused in Canada of serious crimes to argue that their release will undermine confidence in the justice system? The justice system is clearly not immune from corruption or politicization. What confidence can citizens have in it? It appears lawfare is alive and well in Canada. The case of the Coutts Four shows that the Crown have the power to lay serious charges against citizens and let them linger for years in custody without bail or trial.

Is all that is required to make the Crown walk back conspiracy to commit murder of police and mischief charges a smart lawyer who knows how to make a section 8 charter application?

Good that Chris Lysak and Jerry Morin are free at last. With Chris Carbert and Tony Olienick still in custody, justice is still on the march until the 'Coutts Two' are also free.

They send that very scary message, but the dropping of the charges proves they couldn't take it to the final throes. So they push their weight around till they can't. We need to call them out sooner so they are compelled to end their BS tactics sooner. Light, that was missing for most of this 2 yrs, was not shone sufficiently. Till now, TX to Mocha largely.

Thank you! Questions remain.. what was the strength of evidence at the Prelim to justify the trial?? What about the evidence planting recording and judge sealing the envelope? I imagine the plea deals help seal these issues from public display of improper RCMP and their case. 2 years for a plea? Seems ridiculous with those issues. Hopefully the last martyrs trial will expose the true political corruption with RCMP on the stand. Justice must prevail

Awesome! Thanks for this, Trish. I’m glad to see the 2 men released, but equally disturbed at the state of our legal system. What a disaster!

As for the threat of a travel ban for Tucker Carlson, it really should surprise no one, since the leftist organizations seem to view media as little more than a propaganda tool anymore. This is basically a confession of how much that has become the case, using descriptions like “mouthpiece”, no less.

We here still remember what journalists are though. Two great examples today! Thanks Mocha & Trish.
