Pierre Poilievre is sharp but he is no saviour and he wasn't there for us during lockdowns & mandates—he said we didn't get the genetic shots fast enough and then showed up in the 11th hour during Freedom Convoy. The Conservative party is F-A-K-E, totally fake, and has contributed, over decades, to all the problems of modern Canada. Maxime Bernier (PPC) is actually conservative; he tends to predict everything, from monetary policy to ethnocultural issues (e.g., his famous 2018 Multiculturalism tweets); and was against lockdowns & mandates from day one.

Yes... I hear that in his interview with Jordan Peterson, it shows how he still never mentions, the shots, the mandates, lockdown, etc.....

Yup. That interview was SOOOOOO boring, I couldn't finish it. He's tax obsessed, which does nothing for me.

He won't do ANY thing to fix inflation (created by money printing)

He's pro mass-migration

He's pro globalism

He thinks men can be women

He's a covidian

To be fair, Trumps interview with Joe Rogan was similarly bland with nothing on covid, globalism etc. All these politicians are FAKE and I trust none of them (except maybe Maxime). And like Trish and Tom, trust almost none of the media even alternative 😞

I agree... I was pointing it out because many think Poilievre is the saviour...

You're absolutely right. But many Canadians still believe the line: " PPC will " split " the vote. I hope some PPC peeps get seats and keep on check Povliere and his people

After the colossal disaster of the past 9 years, your primary concern today is Poilievre? Really?

He's identical to Trudeau.

Exactly. He also doesn't have enough balls to end the "gender" bullshit. I'll be voting for PPC or independent.

He’s not out. Only promised to leave after a new leader is chosen. Then prorogues gov’t ensuring no no-confidence vote. It’s a fucking scam from a liar.

He worked us again to his advantage.

Government is the enemy.

Government cant fix problems because government is the problem.

He has handlers and consultants speech writers.

He memorizes speeches, so when his speech notes blew away, as if aided by invisible drones or the wings of Archangel Michael, this former substitute drama teacher said "I'll wing it..."

Only scandals can be expected from vandals. One thing Polievre did say a few years ago was that no member of his party would ever be attending a WEF meeting. Not that that even means anything. He talks fast but he’s a follower of war mongrels, as evidenced by his positions on Israel and Ukraine. There is literally no one to vote for in this country except locally- if people would just follow local issues. That’s what effects them most short term and long. National elections are really just a temperature check on the pace of the New World order as dictated from beyond the hills and behind closed doors of banks and investment funds. If there is one single most scandalous thing Trudeau has done (whether as prime minister or as an investor( it’s still not been clearly exposed)), it’s his $upport of the vancouver company (Arcturus? arbutus?) that was the final lynchpin in the lipid nano particle science which could be the real smoking gun and time bomb in the junk vax agenda

even stranger is the influence of the Empire's Privy Council and Freeland’s role as Trudeau's handler and ‘technocrat whisperer’, her connections to Ukrainian terrorists and broader Soros/Rhodes Scholar penetrations of the Canadian government (despite resigning as Finance Minister last month, Chrystia is still Deputy Prime Minister of Canada) - https://matthewehret.substack.com/p/trudeau-flushing-and-the-north-american

I agree with Tom’s comment about taking action in our own communities. We have very little influence at federal and provincial levels of government. The globalist agendas, aka Climate Action, are being pushed through municipalities via ICLEI and other globalist programs. I would urge you to check out: gather2030+kiclei@substack.com

KICLEI is an initiative spearheaded single handedly by Maggie Hope Braun and it is gaining momentum across the country. However, she needs our support and involvement to continue this work. She has created some amazing resources and hosts monthly zoom meetings to support local activism with a goal of “Kicking” ICLEI and other globalist agendas out of our communities and reclaiming control of local decision making. Maybe, Trish, you will have her on the show sometime…

Anyway, love your show Trish and have supported you since the early days. You have been a lifeline especially during those dark days of covidian insanity. I am forever grateful for your hard work and honest reporting.

I second that motion to have Maggie Braun on the podcast. And I also agree that the local level is where some focus is needed. From what I understand, voter turnout in municipal and school board elections is in the 25-40% range. That makes it easy for ideologues and other rogues to hijack the government that is closest to the citizen.

Expand full comment

Municipal politics is 100% cronyism, worse than other levels.

Expand full comment

While I don’t completely disagree with your comment, Tracy, there are opportunities to make an impact at the municipal levels of governance, where our voices can be heard… where we have influence. The alternative is to resign ourselves to helplessness, despair and anger.

Just listening to Tom & Trish about the Military, and with respect to Pierre Poilievre shooting his mouth off.

Recently, I wrote my MP (Len Webber - Conservative) and suggested to him that we should be not be getting involved in the war in Ukraine because we have no Vital Interests at stake. I suggested that we should endeavor to be an "Honest Broker" with respect to the conflict. I also suggested to him that he has Eastern Ukrainian (Russian Speaking) and Western Ukrainians (Galicians) in his constituency, and that his job was to represent both. He wrote back to me to tell me that his daughter was in Ukraine, and supporting the Zelensky government.

What to say to an MP, who does not understand that he represents Calgary Northwest & not Kiev.

Expand full comment

Essentially I received a similar reply from our MP.

I could not understand why we support a war that can lead to World Wars. I made the effort to read the history of NATO versus the fall of the Berlin Wall wherein Russia was guaranteed not incursion or arming of the Ukraine. Just the stupidity and hubris of “ poking the bear” in context of past history belays the utter stupidity of our governments.

Mr Poilievre has, to my knowledge, never mentioned the National Citizens Inquiry, nor has he proposed any review of what happened during that era.

As an American, I watched in awe all the Canadians and especially the truckers who stood up against the covid mandates. Also the few Christian ministers and doctors who stood up and got arrested. Dr. Byram Bridle is great. Canada rose up and put up a good fight. I’m one American who is very thankful for everything Canadian’s have done to support freedom. I don’t understand Canadian politics but glad Trudeau is on the way out.

We've just about arrived at the end of the most disastrous and destructive government in our history. But, before the ink is even dry on Trudeau's quasi-resignation, and with no election in sight, people are lining up to criticize Poilievre.

We Canadian's really deserve what we get! Rather than support the only viable path out of the madness, we engage in negative speculation and assume the worst.

Poilievre acknowledged in the Peterson interview that we face difficult times and that vested interests will organize in an attempt to thwart the necessary changes. He also suggested that Canadians cannot sit on their hands and not directly participate, if he is to be successful.

So, before the man is even elected, why do we not offer qualified support and advocate for the changes we want and need. I'll suspend any criticism or dire warnings until he is actually in office.

I can see a scenario where the next trucker convoy arrives in Ottawa, not to protest the Conservative government, but to offer support against the forces that want to return to Trudeau debacle.

Expand full comment

How exactly is Poilievre going to get us out of this? he has no plan to undo anything!

1. he wont unprint the money that doubled Canada's debt

2. he won't ban medical mandates/locdowns

3. he won't defund the CBC

4. he won't end the "gender" bullshit

5. he won't fight mass migration (in fact he loves this shit)

6. he won't fight globalisation or NAFTA

All he's interested in is his tax buddies.

If he sticks to just boring endless tax talk all the time, he'll find he may not get as many votes as he expects.

For me to vote for Poilievre, I'd need to see REAL CHANGE

PPC or independent.
