Dr. [sic] 'Meat' Carney is a maniac out of a Grand Guignol production. Very dangerous. Luckily for the USA, they have nukes and can crush a rogue Canada with conventional.

They also had the foresight to put military bases near the northern border and build bridges that will hold tanks easily.

But they probably thought that they were going to be scooting up to the Arctic, with a 10 snowmobile Canadian escort, to meet the evil Russians since, as we all know, Russia is short of land and the glorious muskeg, swamp and barrens of Canada are so desirable. "You vill eat ze bugs" comes to mind from that Brainiac, Klaus Schwab.

Carney matches Freeland in possession. Look closely. They both have snakes on them.

As a proud Albertan, it's the anti-Westernism/anti- alberta attitude from the Laurentian elite and self-centered, self--righteous wealthy lying bankers that IS going to destroy this country. Time to stop blaming Trump and own our BS

It's not rage baiting, it's facts that matter. My point is that Flaherty betrayed conservative voters after the conservatives campaigned on not taxing income trusts. The English coined the term "Carnage" for his economic policies; namely printing money. Printing money results in a wealth transfer effect that punishes savers. He did the same thing here in Canada, which is directly tied to Canada's inflationary woes. Yes, Canada fared better than most because we didn't engage in risky derivatives such as mortgage backed securities.

Carney would have gone for the derivatives if he could have. Hell! Carney would have invested all our money in the Dutch Tulip Bulb Scam if he was living then. Luckily, restraining regulations and practices were in place after the Tulip Scam went bust, along with the traditions of Paul Martin as well as Jim Flaherty, which prevented him.

So Flaherty was human after all. He had good and bad qualities, just like, we "NORMALS" do. It is so easy to trash talk those who have passed away and cannot defend themselves. Why don't you trash Carnage Carney, a person whose every second statement is a blatant lie?? Having said that, I do agree with your economic analysis, which I think was your main point

Charlie Angus tried to censor a fellow parliamentarian for asking questions about the Covid-19 vaccine and also had his microphone shut off if memory serves. Charlie is a traitor, scumbag grifter. He’s an opportunist and not to be trusted.

Here we go again… elite globalist, unelected.

What, you’re not happy with parliament procedure?

Trish, this is unhelpful rhetoric.

Carney is one of those blue liberals that can fill the wide gap that was evacuated by the conservatives years ago.

When Jim Flaherty was finance minister, he gave a tremendous endorsement of Carney.

He has the talent and a proven track record.

Team CPC has nobody even close.

Let’s just say that we will need more than savvy digital marketing people to navigate around the next economic corner.

Please remind me of any legislation Poilievre has accomplished in his 20 years as an MP…

Before Carney, I would consider to vote CPC. I too was tired of Trudeau.

But PP? Sorry, no can do.

And Harper jumping in… even worse.

Canada needs more red Tories and blue Liberals.

Hopefully, someday soon, the conservatives can find their way back onto the right path…. Does anyone else miss Mulroney?

Jim Flaherty. The man who promised not to tax income trusts. He lost all credibility. Carnage is incompetent. As Trudeau’s advisor, he clearly counselled JT to sell the last of Canada’s gold, just like Gordon Brown did in the UK. Central Banks around the world have been buying gold steady for years, but not us. Clearly, a hidden agenda is in the works. It hasn’t been brought up by Canada’s MSM either.

Sorry. Rage baiting won’t work on me.

If you can bring yourself around to the correct spelling of Carney, maybe we can have a proper conversation.

About tax policy, that is the government that holds that decision.

The Department of Finance performs the implementation of such.

You have no point here.

Canada did better than the rest of the G7 during the 2008 financial meltdown. Carney had a major role in that as Governor of the Bank of Canada.

I don’t see any CPC people having any depth in managing economies or setting fiscal policies.

Likely, the smart people are staying away.

But, there is hope that once the conservative movement has a good enema, some qualified people will step forward.

The WEF, Climate Change [sic], 'Net Zero' as well as The Privy Council and The Bank of England are, by definition, conspiracies.

Dr [sic] Meat (Carney), as Governor of The Bank of Canada, rode out the financial storm of 2008 using Paul Martin's nest egg which Martin's fiscal restraint and reforms as Finance Minister left in the wake of Chretien's (and Martin's) Liberal Premierships.

Carney jumped ship two years early to fulfill his career ambitions by accepting the Governorship of the Bank of the mother-ship of colonial Canada - the UK.

Steven Harper unequivocally stated that Carney played little to no role in the fiscal crisis but that Jim Flaherty as Minister of Finance did.

Carney, even as he played Joe Biden, and stayed out of the public eye as much as possible (familiarity, in his case, breeds a lot of contempt) has proven himself to be an inveterate liar with an imagination diseased by self-aggrandizement and megalomania.

From an article By Kenn Oliver. Published Apr 10, 2025, The National Post:

"Carney, who’d led the central bank from 2013 to 2020, came up as Truss was calling out the “network node” of people who “forced” her to undo the measures, which had caused the U.K. pound to drop to its lowest-ever rate against the U.S. dollar. Asked about the World Economic Forum, she said it’s a “breeding ground” for those types — “people who believe in … wokeism, environmental extremism, big government, high taxation” — and labelled Carney a “regular.”

“Mark Carney was the governor of the Bank of England who printed money to a huge extent, creating inflation,” she said, referencing the policymaker’s decision to reactivate a money printing programme in response to Brexit-related risks it had publicly warned about.

“He was the one who created the pensions crisis in the first place by not regulating the pensions industry properly,” she suggested.

Mark Carney left his post [early again?] as head of the Bank of England to take up a new role as the United Nations’ “special envoy on climate action and finance”

Days after the disastrous mini-budget, a massive sell-off of government bonds threatened long-driven investment (LDIs) funds and forced the Bank of England to save the U.K. pension fund from collapse with a massive purchase program.

She went on to suggest that Carney is among the cohort who “move in and out of the financial sector” and don’t believe in actually representing the interests of the electorate.

“They fundamentally believe that government should be run by experts who know best, which is them and their friends. They do not believe that democracy is a bottom-up thing.”

She admitted to being “puzzled” by his rise to power within the Liberal party without being elected, something she feels is “illegitimate.”

“He’s been a champion of net zero… he’s a World Economic Forum regular.”

Carney wants any kind of war he can make happen happen, he has dark globalist elite views . Poilievre has already stated live he would negotiate to remove all tariffs for us both. Poilievre does want a trade war he wants fair free trade.

This all feels like manipulation again! When emotions of self- righteous moralism rise up- it’s a red flag for me. Just like when scammers use fear or greed to con you, this sudden rise of patriotic fervour against people who are our friends is not grassroots. It is being media concocted and I’m not falling for it. During Covid, remember how they actually got people to reject family members- those they loved!!! Well, this has the same fear- pride-righteousness emotion to it. Don’t let them suck you in Canadians. Don’t let them rile you up to become offended, angry, vengeful. Not participating in the game of division. Not me.
