Defund the CBC, so People Can Use the Money to Pay Substackers (If They Choose)

And Where Did All the $1,400,000,000 per Year Go at the CBC? https://mathewaldred.substack.com/p/how-many-substackers-does-it-take?utm_source=substack&utm_campaign=post_embed&utm_medium=email

I liked your “planning zealots” comment.

In early January, I was interviewed and accepted to the City of Kawartha Lakes Growth Management Strategy (GMS) Task Force as one of four citizen volunteers. I joined to understand “how the sausage is made” with respect to City Planning. The GMS was last updated in 2006, and its current iteration looks out to 2051 with respect to land use planning.

After 10 hours in ZOOM meetings which included a complete walk-through of the GMS as presented by a Toronto-based Economics consulting company that specializes in municipal planning, I was shocked as how many hands go into making a GMS sausage. There are so many more fillers and unidentified ingrediants that I have lost my appetite go sausage. Go figure.

Jay Bhattacharya was the first scientist I listened to that wasn't spreading the message, a genuine human. Then to read the GBD that I have told everyone I have spoken to since, sent me on the trail to do something about this war against humanity waged by bureaucrats. They are all propaganda peddling bureaucrats. Thank you Trish, for giving the platform back to actual scientists like Malone, Bridle and Bhattacharya. I would like to believe that its not the CBC just like its Neil Young, but its the people that own them that need to be done away with.

Wonderful interview with you and Rupa . I'm thrilled to be seeing Bobby Kennedy running regardless of how they will try to destroy him because of his views. I think it is a calculated move to get in front of more people with his message and then he can go back to the children's health defense where he shines brightly . I do have a question re Dr Bhattacharya . Does he still believe these vaccines are good for the elderly ? I am a very healthy elderly person who would not go near this gene therapy under any circumstances . Just read about Agile Liscensing that Canada will pass when people aren't looking that will allow drugs to be passed at warp speed again for the good of us all . It sounds very much like future framework from the states - no testing required because the MRNA stuff was so great with respect to safety and efficiency .

I was a very long-time (but am now a former) "leftie" & CBC fan (radio, not TV) - who, for the record, has not suddenly become "right-wing" (or homophobic. Or racist. etc. etc.) I retain my old values about social justice & environmental issues & am horrified by the direction the "new" left has taken. Ai-yi-yi!

As regards CBC, it was when I began to dive into the vaccine issue (back in 2016), that I gradually learned its coverage on all things vaccine was very biased. It seemed to me they basically just read news releases, or scripts, handed to them by the pharmaceutical industry. A friend told me she routinely saw pharmaceutical ads on CBC television. Aha! Always Follow. The. Money!

Regarding RFK Jr's personal life, I've been following him for several years now & have heard him admit very publicly to his not-squeaky-clean past. He is not at all dishonest about it. As for the Trusted News Initiative, his organization (Children's Health Defense) has initiated a lawsuit you can read about here: https://childrenshealthdefense.org/legal_justice/trusted-news-initiative-antitrust-litigation/ Thanks for all your digging & truth-telling; we need you!!

Thank you for all you do and the excellent essays. CBC has become Pravda, but without the literary talent...

Collectivism - the philosophical underpinning of the CBC - is a perverse philosophy. I've lived its worst incarnation: communism. I know it's your former stomping ground Trish, but the CBC and the mindset it fosters (and thrives on - though not financially) must go. This from a man who used to listen to Peter Gzowski religiously. I now live in Florida and listen to a Frank Sinatra station exclusively 😊

I regularly listen to your podcasts and I am a huge fan. We need more people like you exposing the corruption in the world, particularly the corruption we will not hear about on mainstream media. There is an area which I would really like you to investigate and speak out on and that is “The Trusted News Initiative”. If that isn’t Orwellian double-speak I don’t know what is. I believe it is a very corrupt organization/association which is hampering free speech around the world. I am attaching 3 links which I hope will help you start a deep-dive into this. Please keep up your excellent work!

Canadians have been bamboozled since before Confederation. The French speaking elites in Canada East recognized that their power was rapidly diminishing — especially after the American Revolution. New France was losing influence in North America; their territory shrinking rapidly. The only way forward was to secure agreements with the other settled jurisdictions in the land north of the border with the United States and form a federation.

This necessitated undermining Louis Riel in Manitoba; persuading the people in British Columbia to join in forming the union; more or less forcing the Indians to sign the 11 Treaties whose lands were standing in the way of the promised Trans Canada Railroad. One would think by reading the history of these events — as taught in school — that the French elites were reluctant participants.

They were desperate.

Without Confederation Canada including Canada East would have been absorbed into the United States. In fact, had it not been for the war between the states, which was an enormous distraction in the United States Canada would never have been born. Manifest Destiny demanded that the United States would involve all the land in North America!

There were more vested interests in seeing a Confederation born than our history makes evident. England did not want the burden of governing Canada. India was by far the bigger prize. They were happy to be relieved of its defence. They were certainly happy a federated constitution would mean Canada would not fall into the hands of the Americans.

British banking interests — mostly in the hands of the Rothschilds by then were only too happy to lend the money to a legal entity — which Canada became after Confederation. Always remember the banks loans are the banks assets. Of course funding a railroad in Canada was a perfect opportunity. Any loans to Canadian enterprise at that scale would certainly be secured.

England got rid of the liabilities associated with administering New France and ensured there was an indentured polity bound to servicing the debts incurred by Canadians. England had another place to send its discontented Scots and Irish. And a growing population with which to trade.

The Scots provided the educated know-how and the Irish provided the man power. Scottish engineers were building railroads around the world. Meanwhile the elite seigneury class buttressed their fortunes while blaming the Anglos for any and all discontent the proles exhibited.

In other words the elites in Quebec used Anglos as scapegoats. Which continues…

Most of the money to build the railroads went to Montreal. This necessitated the provisioning of iron and steel to build track, bridges, engines and rolling stock. Mining suddenly became important. And eventually aluminum manufacturing. These enterprises consumed enormous resources while necessitating the provisioning of electrical power. Dams were built to provide hydro power.

Quebec was never a have not province.

The railroad was an enormous boon to Quebec. Thousands of Quebecers found employment in Montreal. They were far better off working in a factory than toiling on the lands where most were mere surfs.

But the ordinary Quebecer like the ordinary men and women living in the other provinces were deceived. Mentioning here the Laurentian elites.

Today they are Canadian elites. It cannot be expected that these elites will treat the average Canadian today any better than the original Seigneury class treated the serfs. It human nature that elites enjoy their status, their power, and their wealth. Elites always employ the upwardly mobile to protect their interests. Parvenu like Brian Mulroney and Pierre Trudeau and all sorts of other up and comers — lawyers, financiers, power brokers, bureaucrats, etc., line up to serve.

History records these same motivations are nothing new. The elites are like predators. They eat well because they kill well. The most powerful elites today are bankers. They will fund any and all ventures; legal and illegal. They fund wars; both sides in any confrontation. Modern banking is a Ponzi scheme. Bankers must lend. The depositors expect interest, shareholders expect dividends, employees expect wages, CEOs expect millions and millions of dollars in compensation, and government expects tax revenue, and bureaucrats get paid handsomely to “regulate” the entire ball of wax.

Soon though bankers need more and more projects to fund. Dollars pile up as deposits. Today Russia represents an enormous opportunity for banks. The Russians and the Chinese do not want to be subservient to western style fractional reserve lending. They do not want the World Bank, the IMF, the Bank for International Settlements and the predatory methodologies of Wall Street and City of London financiers invading their countries.

Elites do not care how the dead pile up. When did they? How many millions lost their lives in the Crimean War, the American Civil War, the Boer War, the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Cold War and are now losing their lives in Ukraine — wars all promulgated by bankers and the elites who pledge the lives of the innocent and ignorant as collateral.

We had better find another way to share this planet or the entire population of the planet will die. So much of each persons lives are pledged to service debts they themselves did not incur, or vote for, and pay taxes they are forced to pay — all to keep the giant Ponzi scheme going. Governments incur the debts others are expected to pay.

First though enough people need to be aware of the monster they serve before anything different can be arranged. Elites today live lives of enormous luxury and privilege compared to the average citizen.

Though the live in a gilded cages. Who in their right mind would want their lives. Their money sucks out their very souls and leaves them nothing.

They, indeed, sold them.

I do not envy them. Though today, these mindless automatons, imagining they are gods, threaten the rest of us with their thoughtless predations.

We are the brainwashed … all of us, the rich the poor and the indifferent. Notice the alarm in Israel at Benjamin Netanyahu’s initiative to suborn the courts — the initiative was shelved. But in Canada Pierre Trudeau successfully defenestrated parliament when he forced the Charter of Rights and Freedoms on Canadians. The Languages Act insured only bilingual French, de jure would fill the important bureaucracies. What else would be expected other that the Supreme Court would be bilingual. In fact anything and everything can be a cause to invoke Charter Rights.

The entire MSM is owned by American interests — Post Media 70% by a New Jersey hedge fund. The Globe and Mail by Woodbridge, the investment arm of the Thomson family. Remember Thomson owns Reuters. Where is the news manufactured? Not in Canada. What country would permit their media to be foreign owned? Only in Canada you say!

The CBC manufactures the news in Canada. But of course its bias is towards the Liberal establishment which means the Laurentian Elite.

There are good men among us, but they have no courage. They are institutionally complicit — rather like the eunuchs in dynastic China. Were they not Canadians there in Ottawa when Joe Biden dropped in for a visit? …All behaving as bound satraps are inclined to do. It was a disgusting performance and spoke volumes — instructive of whom it is calls the shots.

CBC could attempt to rebuild trust by promoting the National Citizen's Inquiry that is happening now. People need to see this and no msm is covering it. They claim to represent Canadian citizens, yet when there is a citizen led inquiry...crickets, or worse smearing it with mis and dis labels.

https://nationalcitizensinquiry.ca/ happening live in Saskatoon today, wonder if it will even make the local news?

Thanks for all you do. I was paying, but I had to step back for now - PSAC is on strike (my husband). He didn't vote - he couldn't, as the system to vote was a disaster. I have not heard the % that actually voted yet, but since they haven't released that yet, I bet it's low.

Many he's spoken to don't support the demands either. They are out to lunch.

Anyway, I will support again when I can.
