Off the top of my head, Canadians are POLITE. I wish l could say we are unapologetically polite but, we say sorry for things that aren't even our fault.
I'm a dog person and my all-time favourite breed is a Labrador (pure Canadian, eh?). If they trust you, they'll immediately roll on their backs and show you their soft underbelly. They are happy, easy to please, smart, quick to forgive and hard working but, when there is an intruder, they are alert, fearless and extremely protective.
Our politicians should be more like labradors. Less like American Pitbulls. LOL
Keep calm. Sleep well. Step back 24 hrs and decide from there.
1988. Coming back to Sparwood, BC from visiting the Bow Museum (the Asian displays were incredible to see) and stopping on the side of the #1 highway to witness the Olympic flame runners carrying the burning flame right beside our windows. It was thrilling to know that the world was coming in peace and great fellowship to one of the best countries in the world. Eddie the Eagle, the Jamaican bobsled team were incredibly inspiring.
I could share so many good memories that still keep me grounded in knowing how wonderful Canada has been.
Canada is done. It ended yesterday. We had our chance and we blew it. There is simply no way the country can survive 5 more years of Carnage. Those with a brain will take what's left of their savings and get out now.
Pierre lost his own riding. Max came 4th in his riding. I can’t find a single Ontario riding the went NDP. Green elected Elizabeth May again but what happens when she dies?
Carney has a minority with no prospect of an NDP wingman to help him pursue his globalist agenda. This is good news for Canadian patriots because Poilievre and the BQ will likely combine to oppose Carney’s globalist policies.
Most minority governments last about two years when the runway for common priorities between competing parties runs out of room to move forward productively. If Carney wants four years, he will have to serve Canadians more and WEF elites less. If he doesn’t, then two years will be long enough for voters to identify the spots of the globalist leopard and not mistake it for a Bengal tiger.
Carney’s win was cheap at just $130 billion of your money which will be used to fulfill his election promises. I have always thought of Liberal/NDP/Green politicians as “pushers” who cater to Canadian addicts with an OPM (Other People’s Money) habit.
“The easiest thing in the world to do for those politicians is to spend OPM in order buy votes from Government-dependent citizens.” I wish I had a nickel every time I’ve said this‼️
OPM-addicted citizens are the majority. They are government employees who depend on OPM for their salaries, benefits, pensions and all of the other expenses associated with keeping their “position” in the government “bread lines”. They are also business men and women who provide products and services to our governments for revenues (OPM funded) without which their businesses would fail. Other OPM addicts are hidden in plain sight as they collect subsidies from government coffers. For example, in Ontario elections, the province awarded about $55 million to the major paroles over the last three years in “per vote subsidies” which explains why the “Big Three” can run such expensive campaigns while the other 20 registered parties can’t.
There are over 1500 NGOs operation in Canada (charities, foundations, etc) that enjoy tax-advantaged privileges and subsidies to extent the reach of government policies and mandates with ‘boots on the ground’ agents. You don’t have to be on a government payroll to get a taste of OPM. The danger, of course, is that taste can become habit-forming and lead to efforts to get more.
The #1 problem in Canada is TOO MUCH GOVERNMENT. Yet, not a single election ballot in this country offered a clear LESS GOVERNMENT option for voters. The PPC and Libertarian parties may promote this option under a list of policy proposals, but they do it so poorly that very few voters understand this to be their top priority.
I ran provincially in February as an Independent and asked Elections Ontario to list me as an Independent for LESS GOVERNMENT on the ballot. They refused. It was against policy. Regulatory censorship is a bitch to fight and, knowing this, I put up only a feeble protest. After ten prior elections as a candidate, I know when I’m licked.
Canada cannot describe itself as an “electoral democracy” if the only ballot options are for more government or the status quo. Canada, in reality, is a managed autocracy. It is governed by regional-controlled directors like Justin Trudeau, and now Mark Carney, who receive their marching orders from an emerging WORLD GOVERNMENT. The “One World Order” mentioned often by globalist elites is active through institutions like the UN, WEF, WHO, WTO, IMF, IBS, IPCC, FSB, World Bank. Their agents include UN agencies like ICLEI Canada, and many others who promote one or more of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
In 1979, began warning anyone who would listen about the dangers of excessive growth in governments at every level. I feel like a failure because my voice has had no impact on our OPM-addicted citizenry. I have been a lone wolf howling at the moon with no one in earshot to hear my plaintiff cries.
OPM, what a wonderful way to phrase our eternal problem. Societal Cannibalism, when we mindlessly eat the fruit that our kids must grow. Economic suicide.
I had hoped for change to a slightly better, lesser evil Canada; like the one I used to know, or thought I knew, but was just deceived about. Now I truly believe what I’ve been saying for the past year or so. Jason Christoff is right about a lot of it. It’s all a scripted, pre-arranged bunch of paid actors. Voting means nothing. They have it all scammed out ahead of time. And no-matter which “party” gets in, they’re all government. They are not in charge, and the populace is not in charge. The global satanic cult, lead, ultimately, by satan, is.
We are on a terrible trajectory to worse and worse; towards evil satanic tyranny, devoid of any Christian Godly morals. Carney’s words are scripted lies. He doesn’t know what kindness and goodness are! We deserve what we get, because we allowed it. May God help us all !
When I first came to this post all I could read was the first part of the sentence. “Leave your hopes for our country…” was all I could see, so I thought quickly about how I would finish the sentence… Sadly, I finished it with “...in the trash can.”
I simply don’t trust politicians nor their word salad responses!!
How about an unrelated outside chartered accounting firm to handle forensic audits ensuring no money laundering, transfers to connected offshore accounts OR theft!?
Agreed with your points. Canadians need to realize we need to come togather as Canadians first not our ethnicity, that is our history! We need to realize that the govt. does not care about the truth I.e. the Covid jabs were not safe and effective(studied and confirmed), we need a press that speaks the truth free of govt. subsidies, we need to improve living conditions in Canada first for all who live in substandard conditions I.e. natives, addicted (no free drugs), education standards to prepare for reality after high school not a drug induced future!
MY "hope", a really bad game plan but since you asked. It's for the country to continue to deteriorate slowly, especially for the working classes. The neoliberal agenda seems set in stone. Even My small town council finally managed to privatize the the public Telecom company. The nice thing about small towns is that corruption "mostly development related" is close enough to be obvious to All but the wilfully blind or hopelessly gullible, or I give up, it's not changeable which covers almost everyone. One thing I like about the US is that the corruption is so blatant, so egregious that mutual funds are connected to the investment profile of the insider trading honorable members. Every congress person and senator has an AIPAC minder and it's not even hidden. It's the same here, elections are a fig leaf covering what everyone knows is, was and will be going on. I must admit that when our X, OH so feminist, OH so let's throw more money at the aboriginal industrial complexes fired the the female first nations AG because she wanted to enforce the law in a particularity egregious scam, now that was a doozer! Fat Ford gets re elected after throwing hundreds of millions at the worst private LTC corporations; I mean you just can't make this stuff up. V V Putin still has the oligarchy but he cut their power a little allowing the country to recover and grow from the bad old days when western and local capitalism had people starving in the streets. Xi Jinpeng has gone much further on corruption, jailing many and executing some but it seems to be a part of the human condition. We're going the other way and the sheeple are still buying into the scam.
To be a Canadian means to put up with cold weather and be able
to put up with it, pulls the boots on and go out and go another day. We are tough people, but less tough than we once were. Hopefully we won’t put up with shameless politicians : don’t fucking let them continue to BS after they are in power. That’s not a democracy. That’s surrender to the overlords
We have no resilience & no backbone whatsoever. My goodness, our grandparents went through wars and depression! Came to this country after scraping together boat money and $10 for a quarter of land. My grandfather had next to nothing. Two large work horses, a skid/stone bolt, buck saw, and a Danish neighbor to help build a milk barn on both of their farms.
In Europe people owned next to nothing. When they started to fight for freedom and slowly gained it, they had to deal with war and famine.
Love your message, Trish. Happy warrior; I like it! Here's what I wish for a lot of us: that we can recognize we don't have to share the same views & can still respect one another as fellow humans. I have 2 people in my life with whom I cannot discuss Covid, vaccines, or politics - our views are wildly different & those are not safe topics. BUT. I still have good conversations with this brother & very long-time friend with whom I disagree on so very much. Same thing with my neighbours! I do not ask them if they are vaccinated or whether they believe in God or if they like Trump ... or Trudeau. We are just all amazingly civil & kind to one another. (I am talking about a rather shabby apartment building, in Toronto. None of us is well-off - but we're neighourly.) As for our "leaders?" Sigh. Not much hope there. They don't care about us & I'm not sure how or if we can change that.
We r still a Colony so until we become a republic no such thing as being a citizen. That's what Canada needs take happen and as far as voting is concerned neither Party is going to solve Canada's problems. And more importantly they both support Israel and Ukraine wars so that is a red line for most people I know.
