I see no comments on the blatant CBC election interference through yesterday’s “This Hour has 22 minutes”. Has anyone seen it? Any thoughts? At minimum, the other Parties should demand equal time. Better yet, Democracy Watch or other other impartial organization defending democracy could call that what it is and file an injunction.

The degree to which carney will lie is stupefying even for carney. Basic dishonesty. Hell of a resume. His past resume ? Tax avoidance.

The only way to be sure you don't catch liarrhea from Carney is to wear a mask, stay six feet away and vote for Pierre Poilievre…

Hi, Trish, you might be interesting in my latest post: https://nevermoremedia.substack.com/p/are-canadian-elections-rigged

Here's an excerpt:

THE LIBERALS SPEND MORE THAN $1.5 BILLION PER YEAR ON MEDIA SUBSIDIES

According to a recent report by the Macdonald-Laurier Institute:

[T]he pace with which Canada subsidized its news media is staggering, with a recent report estimating the federal government will spend $325 million in 2024-25 between the Canada Media Fund ($154.1 million), the Canada Periodical Fund ($86.5 million), the Canadian Journalism Labour Tax Credit ($65 million), and Local Journalism Initiative ($19.6 million). This is in addition to the roughly $1.4 billion yearly federal subsidy to the CBC, which Prime Minister Mark Carney has promised to increase by $150 million if the Liberals are re-elected.

Between the various media support programs and CBC funding, the federal government is spending over $1.7 billion annually subsidising journalism and media. That’s more than the $1.4 billion it will spend annually on the Canada Disability Benefit…

CARNEY IS PROMISING THE CBC $150,000,000 IF THEY GET HIM ELECTED

In the last two years, the Liberals have increased funding for Canadian media.

In March 2024, they pledged an additional $58.8 million to something called the Local Journalism Initiative through 2027. This program funds over 400 reporters covering local news across Canada.

That works out to about $145,000 per reporter. That’s not chump change.

This initiative, by the way, is just one among many. Another example would be Changing Narrative Funds, which pledges $10,000,000 for BIPOC journalists and storytellers.

To me, the most glaring thing here is that Carney is promising to increase funding for the CBC if elected.

Meanwhile, Pierre Poilievre is promising to defund the CBC, even saying that he plans sell off its Toronto headquarters so that it can be converted into affordable housing.

I’m not going to lie. I’d love to see that happen.

But let’s take a minute to think about things from the perspective of a CBC employee. If the Conservatives are elected, you might lose your job. If the Liberals are elected, you might get a bump in pay.

All of this is exceedingly convenient for the Liberal Party.

For all us non-Yanks/non-Canadians: who or what is "CBC?"

I learned a lot time ago that if you use abbreviations, that at least you should have the courtesy to either write the full meaning the first time you use that abbreviation, or alternatively, write a little appendix of abbreviations used.

I see a Russia-USA alliance in the gloaming which will rise in glory in the morning. I wonder if all the WEF and Privy Council think tanks saw that one coming?

As for PP, I will suspend the sentence until I see what he does. Dr Meat is just a summary conviction.

In the interim, I strongly recommend the HITO 2022 Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero, Espana (14.5%)

All Dr Meat's tit-tweaking lines sound like they come from a Rambo 1.2. 3. 4 5. etc movie. But though Sylvester looked like a Tomahawk Steak, Carney looks like the buzzard who found the bone.

Self-aggrandizement is such a sorry sight but apparently not for those connected to the City of London Palace.

A Carnage win is really important for the CBC. Of course they're going to lie and cheat and interfere and then lie about cheating and interfering. Their very lives depend on it. It ain't right, but it's true. But hey, the only poll that matters is coming on Monday and right now Bet 365 is taking a lot of action for the Conservatives. A full 70% are betting on Pete. And as they say, it ain't over til it's over! Pete could still pull it off!

Hey conservatives! Vote early, vote often lol!

Carbon Tax Carney is a Kleptomaniac. There's nothing more grimly ironic than watching him brag bout Canada's "Carbon taxes till 2030" with an HSBC "drug dealing and money launderer" flunkie for which he lied and obfuscated before a UK Royal Commission which John Titus dissected at length in one of his many videos.

Watched the press conference from Carney in Coquitlam this morning. The people behind him all look like hostages behind him. Furtively glancing from side to side, solemn and outright frowning faces. While Carney drones on about making “affordable” multi unit rental boxes and building the kind of homes that Canadians can “afford” (AKA prefab crap houses). Says we need another govt bureaucracy to build these homes (AKA we will do business only with those “friends” of the govt and regulate everything so that few homes are actually built, but the pockets of liberal donators and globalist corporations are lined). He states it will be all about “transparency”, while he refuses to divulge all his assets and where they are paying taxes. Also we heard that same “transparency” promise in 2015 and got the exact opposite and most corrupt govt ever - only the leader has changed- the same crew of cabinet ministers are still right there with Carney. He says that there will only be spending on “assets” (which I can only believe are NOT Canadian citizens). Carney has proven himself to be morally and ethically bankrupt given the way he handled two scandals already with the campaign (endorsing Paul Chiang who admitted he suggested kidnapping of his political rival for a bounty from the Chinese govt and the non firing of the Liberal staffers planting MAGA like buttons at a Conservative conference). Not to mention Carney’s direct financial ties to Elon Musk and Donald Trump and the Chinese govt through a large loan he secured for Brookfield. There should be enough in just what I’ve written here for the media to report on if they were not actively trying to influence the election to get Carney elected.

My goodness these Liberals and their paid media have no shame at all. None. It’s funny they never mentioned that China wants us to pair with them instead to fight the US. Imagine that . Canada falls very quickly into partnership with China due to the Liberals deep love of Communism. What a team player these Illiberal’s are. Making us the first Communist Post National State. Imagine that. You can’t fix stupid but you can walk away from it. I guess Canadians shall get exactly what they vote for. A government who will take care of them, control what they do say, think, and spend. I won’t be surprised with this new Chinada if they remove all property right. Oh wait, Canadians don’t have any to start with. I think Canada will get exactly what it deserves. That is all I know for sure.

Never underestimate the importance of banality in human relationships. Some years ago, Trudeau bad mouthed Trump on a hot mike. No doubt in my mind that Trump is banal to the nth degree and he didn't forget and he doesn't forgive. If we didn't understand that before COVID-19 84, we certainly should now. My girlfriends 9 months old puppy is as sweet as can be but when she sees a cat and an open door, a neuron fires and off she goes. No doubt in my mind, so it is with Trump. He can sell ice to Intuit but I doubt that he could do basic trigonometry. His unofficial foreign minister is a financial engineer and knows nothing about diplomacy. The official secretary of state is less than competent or intelligent and the defense secretary is wayyyy over his head and amoral to Boot. I used to dread it when I was a supervisor or manager and I had to deal with someone like Trump. Irrational and flaky, never knew how the meeting would go or how to deal with the manager. I'd much rather have a Boss I didn't like who was competent and stable than a Wing nut but here we are. Just found out that the Treasury secretary is from Soros, just like the democratic party. Carney and Mertz are both from Goldman Sachs and Rothschild is running France. Whatever you think of the leadership of Russia or China, the leaders are at the top of their game and both have dramatically improved the lives of their people. Wish I could say that about any western countries leadership.

Your comment reminded me of Hannah Arendt's phrase "banality of evil". https://www.thebritishacademy.ac.uk/blog/hannah-arendts-lessons-for-our-times-the-banality-of-evil-totalitarianism-and-statelessness/ We are certainly lorded over by evil people.
