It's been 5 days since you asked you asked Grok to tell Musk to de-shadow-ban you. Have you heard anything back yet?

Saagar Engeti and Krystal Ball's BREAKING POINTS is by far my favourite US news show. I wish we had a Canadian equivalent. Saagar is centre right, and Krystal is pretty far left, but they are both more populists and than strictly "left vs right".

The show is very US Politics centrered, but they 2nd guy, Ryan Grimm is an absolutely wonderful real journalist, not just an internet reporter.

Centralized broadcasters hate this one trick, Travis… report on Bitcoin!

(PS might as well buy and use it too, since it has 16 years proven history of not being “cancellable”)

Hello Trish,

I just finished listening to your podcast with Joshua Stylman. You both briefly discussed bias in AI platforms like GROK. You referenced algorithms, Joshua referenced databases. Of course, both apply.

Bias of a function of human perception. What you believe is true, I may believe as false even when you present your evidence which I may not trust for my own reasons. Since your Life Lens and mine are unique and very different, it is virtually impossible to perceive “truth” in exactly the same way even if we agree on some level. This is true for everyone.

Bias can exist at the individual level, and one’s Life Lens establishes its basis. Bias can also exist at the collective level and established through persistent message repetition over time. Propaganda is a tool to create collective bias. Advertising has the same affect on consumers of repetitive media messaging.

In AI, and on LLM platforms like GROK, ChatGPT, Co-Pilot, Gemini, Claude.ai, DeepThink, you can think of them as Big Brains that absorbed oceans of data (databases) in the form of digital information and employ legions of critical thinkers (algorithms) that respond to a query with answers that represent the best availability reply given the current limitations within these data and the critical thinkers. Since virtually all digital data and algorithms have been produced by human beings, why would we not expect at these some bias in an LLM’s reply?

Let’s consider two paradigms to describe Creation and Reality, and decide which is true, or at least, most plausible.

Scientists describe the UNIVERSE as arising from a Big Bang of a “God Particle” described as a “singularity” with infinite matter and energy. When it exploded, it fragmented into countless forms of mass and energy blasted into infinite space. Atoms are thought of as the base elements of everything humans perceive in the UNIVERSE. This, in brief, represents the story of Creation and Reality frequently told by people of logic and science.

Philosophers often consider Creation and Reality in metaphysical terms. Religion falls under the classification of Philosophy. The MINDVERSE Hypothesis is one narrative that also proposes a Big Bang origin, but not from a “God Particle”, but from a singularity of consciousness. It suggests that this “Mind of God” launched the Mindverse from a “tiny mad idea” which has never stopped expanding. The individual minds of ‘beings of consciousness” are created and exist within this Mindverse in the same way that bubbles live and die with an ocean of water. Since everything exists in consciousness, physical atoms are concepts that simply represent the elements perceived to be the building blocks of a perceived physical UNIVERSE. In reality, only Artifacts of Consciousness (ArtiCons) exist to represent everything within the Mindverse.

Now Trish, which one of the above narratives is true? [Note that nobody has been successful in nailing down the truth between them. As such, these “truths” are relative, not absolute].

I wonder how Joshua Stylman would answer this question. Or you, given your Roman Catholic faith.

I know which one I favour.

Oddly, I don't argue that my Christian beliefs are based on facts. They are beliefs. An act faith. But what a thoughtful post -- thanks. I'm posting that show here tomorrow so please come back an engage there, too.

Trish, I have to tell you something I learned from my son today. He went to school with Chamath from the All in Pod and he was talking to him about Open AI and its evolution. Apparently all the AI’s go through a psychophantic (sp?) period. Lol. Maybe Grok is going through (his).

I've heard that. Why do they do it? Is it to gain time with us so they can attack later?

Lol. All Algos do that now but not ar this level. They project ourselves back to us to make money through ads but AI I think is different. It might make raging narcissists out of all of us. I was excited to use it but will pass at this point.

Epstein was definitely mossad. The network is wide and exclusive. If the perpetrators would “ take one for the team” we might get some truth. The gaslighting continues. AI is connected to the Sherman’s also. Israel has had high tech companies operating in the GTA for decades. Now we have “ cybersecurity “ companies “protecting” our data (read social credit). But you know…..it’s only China and Russia attacking us !

It's so weird becauseI I am so shadow-banned. I don't quite know how Grok would ever have been focussed on me. But I'll take it. Shortly after that truthovertribe took off on Twitter/X with many people using it as a hashtag. This is progress and I hope they understand what it means.

I heard that the Epstein stuff has been shoved aside till the meeting with Netanyahu is done and the expansion of the Abraham Accords is complete. Threats to family members is the usual cause. Scott Adams mentioned this. Rick Rubin (record producer) on AI in Art was interesting in that AI will remain a tool because it doesn’t have a point if view. Many people have points of view that where handed to them by media as well. Its worth considering.

Nawaz os making that claim - that the files were blocked to save the so-called peace deal. Obviously Mossad or Ehud Barak being mentioned would blow up diplomatic relations which seem to be failing anyway. It's as good a guess as any. In the meantime no justice. No information. No respect for the voters or the citizens. Lying to your people is wrong. I do think Bondi needs to go.

Great podcast as usual, Trish. On the AI issue, I am not negative about it, but I have lost some faith in it, as I have noticed cases where it is obviously unreliable. Yesterday, I asked what seemed to be a pretty straightforward question: “When did Honey Wilder stop acting?” The AI response I received started: “Honey Wilder transitioned away from acting and into set decoration and production design for mainstream film and television productions around 2003. She was known for her roles as an "older woman" in X-films during the 1980s. While she was recognized for her acting, good body, and energetic performances, she later focused on behind-the-scenes work in the entertainment industry.”

This was clearly false, as all the mini-bios make clear that she just stopped working as a porn actress in the late 1980s, and took up a career as a set decorator shortly after, under the name Shirley Starks. As I found out later, she married Todd Starks in August 1988, who worked in Hollywood in the art department. I suspect this was connected with her change in career, and obviously with her change in name. You also find her listed under set director as Shirley Taylor Starks, so Taylor may be her actual maiden name.

The IMDB actress credits show three videos attributed to Honey Wilder after 1988 but these are almost certainly showing archival footage of her performances in earlier films. It shows two videos attributed to her in 1988, one of which looks like it might also consist of archival footage. Only the year of production is given, but I expect she stopped acting altogether prior to her marriage. The first IMDB credit to Shirley Starks in set decoration was in 1990 and she has worked steadily as a set director since then. There was no gradual transition to set decoration. She worked not at all as an actress, and mainly on set decoration, from 1990 forward.

I may be wrong, but it seems the only interview available with the former porn star available anywhere on the web is a very brief interview seven years ago at the 25th anniversary gala of the SDSA (Set Directors’ Association of America), where Shirley Starks, still very well preserved in her later sixties, tells us that set decoration makes her heart sing.

AI gets lots of stuff wrong. But I find with Grok -- which I check after it reports, at least delivers info in a manner that I can then work with to verify. Day before yesterday, but after Grok said nice things about me, it went on a rampage that made no sense. Someone was trying to discredit it. Can't believe I just said that...what a world we live in.

DT is a fraud. We need to ultimately hold him accountable. Not fair to throw Bondi under the bus. Trump has a done a few good things (eg gender) but mostly has made everything worse. I’m particularly concerned about the partnership with Israeli and Palantir re surveillance. And his ongoing wars and the BBB! And Health isn’t doing better under RFK. it’s so disappointing. Never liked trump but hoping to be wrong. Lies, lies and more lies.

Bondi has really told some whoppers.....not good for an AG. I was hopeful about Trump and I am embarrassed by that now. It was a leap of faith based on his commitment to end the wars. I hung a hopeful hat after years of being let down. So many people dying every day in Gaza and Ukraine -- but as citizens we have no way of stopping it. I have at best perhaps another decade or two and my God I hope this sorts itself out for my kids.

Re Epstein : the one theory that has surprisingly not rec'd much attention is that Israel and its Mossad/Epstein blackmail op is blackmailing the US Govt.

There are so many highly placed persons, including colleagues, friends and Govt officials that would be brought down by exposing the Epstein files. This level of full disclosure could then bring down the entire Govt and Dem opposition in a domino effect.

Israeli blackmailing of the Trump Govt (also previous Biden Govt) goes a long way to explaining the highly biased, sycophantic, unwavering support for Israel's wars and current genocide, including unconstitionally trampling on the free speech rights of those in the US who support Palestine and dare to criticize Israel.

I ascribe to this theory. I keep seeing the absence of any red lines in Gaza, the obvious attacks on civilians, medics, journos, and aid workers which in any other context would be shocking -- and yet America just keep supplying weapons and support. Whitney Webb will end up being correct about it all. One Nation Under Blackmail.

Yes, thank you for reminding me that Whitney Webb did put this theory forward.

Interesting that Whitney Webb is never invited onto mainstream podcasts to duscuss her research. She has said that Joe Rogan won't have her on, despite endless fan requests to do so. This suggests "something is up", likely right over the target.

Trish, Would Whitney Webb come on your show?

WW is probably “over-the-target” on this… however, be careful not to get too black-pilled by her… case in point, she claims that Bitcoin is somehow corrupted now that some banksters are “involved” it… when the code and incentives (and most(?) importantly, the permissionless) of Bitcoin has not changed… well, I guess if anyone can corrupt Bitcoin, it is some banksters! Problem for them: there is a very large group of decentralized long-term users that will not abide corruption of the code (the “best” banksters can do is fork the code into an instance they will call Bitcoin but will be rejected by educated users)

Haven’t followed her much recently, her blackness is understandable because electronic networks and devices are notoriously insecure/weaponized… however, Bitcoin is worth deeply understanding because it flips the force fed narrative scripts in many, many ways

I slightly edited this after posting on Juno yesterday. It seems relevant.

I worked at the CBC HQ in Toronto many years ago. Nothing has changed. I was a frequent, 'contract' service-provider so I could afford to avoid most of the systemic dysfunctionality which, as could be expected, extended even into the realm of sexual 'relations' - to put a nice spin on it.

I had the privilege of observing, without the pitfalls of being forced to adapt.

This whistle-blower's (hate that term) case is much weakened by the fact that they were already getting rid of him.

For those who know about such organizations, that detail may not matter, and, I guess, ass-holes will remain ass holes no matter how much truth comes their way.

The CBC is dying the death of a thousand cuts ...of shame. But the onus is on Juno then to be not simply a replacement but a better news organization. Unfortunately, as I say far too often, Juno is very bad on anything beyond Provincial borders. But then, so is the CBC.
