Add Mike Benz to your reading list. He has been talking about this for many years.

I've been listening to Mike Benz this week. He said this with Tucker & he said it with Rogan: "When something is too dirty for the CIA, you give it to USAID." OMG. What a thought. It's all mind-blowing.

Now I have heard it all. Liz Truss, who sat in the British cabinet throughout the Covid tyranny, is now telling us about the dangers of the unaccountable Deep State. The shamelessness of this woman! Her cringeworthy attempts to reinvent herself don't fool any of us in the UK.

Thanks for the insight. When I saw her name, I was wondering, because I thought she was pure deep state.

She's a Deep State wannabe, but they discarded her and she will spend the rest of her life wondering why.

Surely you are aware that USA.I.D. was simply a cia front organization that covered the nasty political goals with a minimum going to actually help folks in need. They were doing more to undermine governments and foment unrest in countries the US doesn't like. I mean really, funding a Trans dance festival in Bangladesh? Give me a break !

Did you listen to the show? I spent 40 minutes ripping USAID apart.

Indeed you did do that and good for you I was simply pointing out the political use of the word AID to hide its true intent. You are 100% correct in your reporting just fleshing it out a bit.

We definitely need more transparency in how our hard earned money is spent. These politicians everywhere have been so corrupted that things that should be good have become shameful.

Elon just said "if the beauracracy is in charge, then what meaning does democracy actually have?"

Great show. I've wondered about where the "church" stands with these UK rape gangs. Not a word it seems.

We are good here however and carry the "Fire."

Cheers.

The podcast was excellent, Trish,as per usual. The UK is in at least as bad a shape as Canada.

I have not listened to the interview yet, but I need to get my 2 Cents in with respect to NGO's.

Charity needs to be transparent, and with out condition. 2000 years ago, Jesus said that when we give the left hand should not know what the right hand is doing.

When you are in a charity serving the poor, it is not long before some one walks in the door and says "I will give you $2,000,000 but only if you do this, or only if you don't serve those people." Since you are always needing more money, that offer sounds really good .....

Another issue, is that everyone thinks you must be a SAINT because you serve those people. (In my case chronic homeless alcoholics & drug addicts) That feels good, but it also allows you to do some unethical things because "a holy Saint" would not do anything wrong.

Finally, there is the whole component of getting to control all that Government Money, which means that the vultures start circling. (Just think of everyone who wanted a piece of the "Housing First" money in the early 2010's.

What is the solution? Charity needs to be small & local. Ideally associated with a local church or service club. It needs to be imbedded in the community it serves so that the donor can see where the donation goes, and the impact it has. In other words, the donor knows that they money went to the right place, because the old woman down the street has the heat on in her home.

Not arguing with any of it. Just because I believe AH's own motives were pure doesn't mean I support NGOs and the way they operate.

I found it very funny that the same week USAID gets gutted, Politico was unable to pay its staff due to a "technical error."

Sure, Jan.

Larry Alex Taunton is another person who is knowledgeable about USA.I.D. as he has, and continues to, go to the areas where this organization has a strong presence. Having someone with boots on the ground makes a lot of difference to how all of this will land. As for Canada, there MUST be a similar investigation take place because there's been billions siphoned from taxpayers. It's beyond criminal.

Wonderful interview. I am reading his book. Values. Just finished The Art of the Deal. Carney is magnitudes more dangerous to Canada than Donald Tump.

A very constructive episode, not only for the specific examples of corruption in USAID scandal, but also the rehabilitation of Liz Truss. When all the bad press was piling on top of her, I assumed she was ineffective as a prime minister. How wrong could I be? Now I know "the blob" isn't just a late '50s teen horror flick, but the British slang for what we call the Deep State over in North America. Ms. Truss has some salient advice for any conservative movement and the obstacles to achieving real change once elected to office. Great interview.

Thank you very much for the interview with Liz Truss, Trish. I read London economist Shaun Richards’s Notayesmanseconomics blog every morning. Shaun refuses to get into politics, and will only talk economics, but he agrees with Truss that her budget was much better than the mainstream media claimed. He also has a very low opinion of Carney’s governance at the Bank of England. Shaun likes to use the descriptors “unreliable boyfriend” (a coinage of Labour MP Pat McFadden when he was an opposition member on the Treasury Select Committee) and “dedicated follower of fashion” for Carney. Truss is right that he has been a member of the Davos crowd for some time, but if you follow his career he really doesn’t seem to have had any long-term allegiance to any set of ideas. Most flagrantly, “Dutch Disease” Carney, the stout defender of the Alberta Oil Sands in 2011, gave way to Carbon Tax Carney when he moved to Europe, and who knows where he will end up? The one thing he has done consistency in his career is to further his own financial self-interest, and give him credit for being highly successful in that regard.

Too bad you didn’t ask Liz Truss if she was a co-conspirator with unindicted war criminal Joe Biden in blowing up the Nordstream pipelines. Please ask her back for a follow-up interview to ask about that.
