“Trucker overpass energy.” What a great phrase. Yes exactly….having been on the overpass…it’s been a great week for freedom loving Canadians and Americans. Let’s hope and pray this is truly a new beginning.

This was very interesting to listen to.

I greatly appreciate how Jeffrey Tucker points out that a lot of this goes beyond this particular election cycle. My hope is that people can keep the long game in mind rather than being too disappointed by short-term losses.

The election wasn't the finish line, we've got a long road to go (and our own election here in Canada!)

I also greatly appreciated this perspective. We're in such a hurry for action and justice. The reminder to keep the long game in mind what just what I needed.

so good. Love your perceptions in this piece. The classy, smart people, (even coming out of the woodwork here in Canada) we would have never expected (like Heather and Bret for example) are so palpably pleased with the result. It is refreshing to hear smart people say ""Trump" without hissing his name lol! "Trucker overpass energy" is EXACTLY right. (good one!) As the convoy passed under the overpass here in Cambridge I texted my husband - (who brought his bookkeeper) to come feel the vibes and she cried at the sight. A glimmer of hope. That's the feeling now even though there will be a lot of shit to wade through first and hope that the winners make some good decisions and have some success in slaying (or at least injuring) the deep state.

I must have been a couple of overpasses away from you in Kitchener on January 27, 2022. I had to see if the story was true, and was blown away by both the number of people lined up along the 401 and atop the Homer Watson overpass, as well as the volume of trucks, motorhomes and other convoy vehicles. I was impressed that the convoy participants stuck to the right lane in order not to severely impede traffic flow, and elated to see the number of vehicles in the other two lanes that honked in support.

congrats to the American voters! and now for the long haul: Pompeo's out, a good start, now let's expose the other sucking-up neo-cons and RINOs: Trump is eyeing Brian Hook, known as a major Iran hawk who helped lead the “maximum pressure” campaign of sanctions, sabotage, and assassinations that characterized Trump’s approach to Tehran, has been appointed to help oversee the formation of a new foreign policy team at the State Department (Murtaza Husain) - https://www.dropsitenews.com/p/trump-iran-hawk-hook-pompeo-israel-netanyahu-russia

also the incoming Trump administration is being heavily influenced by figures tied to carbon markets and efforts to implement dubious climate finance schemes, including Howard Lutnick, the co-chair of Trump’s transition team (Unlimited Hangout) - https://unlimitedhangout.com/2024/11/investigative-reports/get-ready-for-the-republican-carbon-market/

I so enjoyed listening to you with Jeffery Tucker this week. My husband and I can relate: we felt so relieved on Wednesday, as though the boot had been taken off our necks. I'd been following Jeffery Tucker for years through various libertarian sites which showed off his terrific prose. One of the consolations of this horrid era (perhaps the only one, besides finding new freedom oriented friends at our age) is watching people you've admired for years grow in stature, gravitas and influence, bringing us hope, keeping us going through hard times. People like Jeffery T, Chris Martenson, James Lindsay, Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying, and countless others, some new to the public square (like Julie Ponesse) , many of whom you've had on your program. I just wish I'd found you right away in spring of 2020. Thank you, Trish.

Always look forward to your perspective Trish and like you have hear from the few that dare speak freely , they are relieved as well . However , I suspect there will be many issues going forward and at least it was my opinion Trump articulated views I understood - then much maligned by many with all the same propaganda words - no creativity with the parroting whatsoever - and what would appear for the time being ,a plan put together with "a team you can see" at least in a front row with "faces" appearing relatable , at least to me; I get it's all a game. From a simple Canadian perspective and a small election for a city council seat , I'd suggest Poilievre better have his game face on , because the guile and deceit used to smear the candidate running against the chosen narrative was nothing I've ever experienced when choosing to vote ,as is my right - at least the last time I checked .

Your political analyst is having mental health issues for sure. That cackling is a dead give away. There is no point trying to rescue people like that,There is no fixing this.So much for the abilities of political analysts at predicting election results. You were very polite when presenting this.

I woke up Wednesday. morning and felt lighter than I have in years.

I don't want to succumb to hopium so I will remain watchful but I am RELIEVED that Kamala got a resounding NO.

Loved Jeffrey's analysis... especially the idea that Trump's team is a transitional government and that we are heading into 24 months of revolutions world wide. Can't wait for that election here. If Poilievere is smart he'll realize that Canadians are just as fed up with the woke BS as our American friends are and capitalize on that.

Hope JT runs and loses in his own riding.

BTW, Roman was not the first MPP to stand up to Ford's Covid Nonsense. Belinda Karahalios voted against Ontario's emergency response in July of 2020 and got kicked out of the Conservative caucus for doing so. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belinda_Karahalios

The election result was a huge relief, in that the Trump team had a clear majority on every metric that counts. The worst outcome, in my opinion, would not have been a Harris win, but a Trump win with a narrow margin of victory.

The other plus is the team that Donald Trump has assembled from both sides of the political aisle. Let's hope that President Trump can keep his focus, as there is a lot of work to be done.

Just a comment about the Dems vote totals from 2020 to now. There was a graph running around last week showing the Dems with 81 million votes in 2020 which was way more than the previous elections and at first a lot more than this one. But many of the votes were not finished being counted in this election and they still are not. In the end it looks like Kamala will get around 74 or 75 million votes which is not 20 million less than the last election but only 6 or 7. I am not saying the last election was not stolen but this argument thrown about in the past week is misleading as there are not 15 or 20 less dem votes but much less.

I am happy Trump won although not convinced he will be the saviour that most right wing people believe he is. He is almost guaranteed to dissapoint. If you look at his term in 2016 there was a lot he didnt do that he said he would..illegal immigration was still high under his reign..the debt went through the roof..mexico did not pay for the wall. His super pro-Israel stance is a big red flag for me.. His tax cuts proposed are frankly irresponsible unless he also slashes government spending including the defense budget..otherwise he is just adding more and more debt..any idiot can do that such as our beloved PM. He also bragged a lot about how quickly they developed the Covid vaccines..when we all know that they were never tested properly nor were they anywhere near as effective as they and he claimed they were. So not sure why people are that excited about him..I guess cause Kamala was such an awful candidate. But frankly they were both pretty awful choices.

Trish, I am fascinated by what Tucker said about first accepting that 2020 wasn’t stolen, then by his realizing fairly recently that it had indeed been a fraudulent election. What I am curious about is why the same efforts were not made for Harris. I think I know the answer (that red states put in place voter id restrictions) but what is your opinion on that? Were the powers that be willing to allow one term to Trump to just get it over with?

Expand full comment
Trish Wood's avatar

I don't know. I think Dems would have cheated if they could but as Jeffrey said, the Trump team had them on notice. In every state they won, I am told they were no ID states but it wasn't enough. Who knows.....maybe they let her sink on purpose.
