Trish, I watched the movie trailer you posted and I am still wiping the tears from my eyes. It is marvelous and beautiful, while at the same time disturbing and frightening to know what a government can do its people when they disagree with it, in what is supposed to be a free and democratic country. Unfortunately the vast majority of Canadians, still heavily influenced by what mainstream media reported on the Convoy still believe, 'they got what they deserved'. And that it equally as frightening. Having met and spoken to both Tamara and Chris, I know they are guilty of nothing more than being patriotic Canadians who stood up for those, like myself, who felt the same way, but didn't have the courage to be heard, so they spoke for us. I have just finished watching a couple of new instalments from Tucker Carlson on January 6th revealing further serious evidence on how it was a PSYOPS designed to accomplish exactly what it did -- paint the people who participate in that protest as dangerous threats to democracy. Trudeau wanted to make the Freedom Convoy his January 6th moment, and effectively did by invoking the Emergencies Act and to use the men who have become known as the Coutts Four, as his scapegoats. The Canadian scandal on the truckers is no different than the US's January 6th and the fact that events like this were able to occur in two countries which have served as beacons of democracy and freedom for decades is as alarming as it disturbing. And the fact that most Americans and Canadians don't recognize this, gives great credence to Matiass Desmet's concept of Mass Formation Psychosis.

Great post Roxanne. I was just educating some of my wife’s English relatives on J6 & many other issues related to Trump & the MSM. Needless to say when you’re a BBC viewer, what would you expect ? They were surprisingly open & vowed to perhaps look beyond the rhetoric that the Left banty about on a daily basis.

When I informed them that 14 states no longer require ID in order to vote……. One cousin paused…… & then asked what I think about abortion. 🤷

Roxanne Halverson's avatar

Thanks. Oh dear for that cousin and worried about abortion. I truly don't understand how that remains such a hot issue when it comes to women's right in the US. Maybe they might want to focus more on how Biden and Harris gutted the Title 9 bill which some decades ago gave women their own space to compete in women only sports. Not anymore, now men who think they are women can now compete, thanks to what Harris and Biden did to Title 9.

Bsimple's avatar

Men who think they are women, yes. But also unscrupulous men period. This set up now selects for the worst individuals. No man with a spec of integrity will compete against women...or use their private spaces.

Just a quick note on the discussion you and Ray had regarding the Diagolon element's that were raised at the Public Order Emergencies Commission inquiry, and the fact that Commissioner Rouleau relied so heavily on it and the so-called connection the Coutts Four had to it. It should be noted that as a follow up to Diagolon inventor, Jeremy Mckenzie's testimony at the POEC, which effectively debunked all the nonsense about Diagolon as a terrorist organization or even real entity, the Director of the Canadian Anti Hate Network, Evan Balgord, entered, as evidence, an affidavit, intended to counter Mckenzie's testimony and defend the CAHN's own 'spin' on Diagolon. Unlike, McKenzie, who testified and was cross-examined to defend his position on Diagolon, Balford was never asked to do the same. His Affidavit was accepted on its face value by Commissioner Rouleau, who, given his 'verdict' relied more heavily on that than Mackenzie's testimony. Caryma S'ad, a lawyer herself, in her Hate-Gate report, said that in court of law, such a document would not have been worth the paper it was written on .

What's happening in the USA is not the result of a hurricane, there are hurricanes every year and this year is actually below normal in terms of numbers and strength. This is an abject failure of FEMA I believe deliberate to backstop the climate change narrative. Everything weather related is now "Climate Change". Weather events like hurricanes are not "Climate Change" they are completely normal weather events that happen every year in that part of the world. Same thing happened with Jasper. "Climate Change" ? I think not. A refusal to do anything to prevent it and then a pathetic response to make sure we all know the dangers of climate change. Utter BS!

Of course there is also the thought that our government is geoengineering storms which could have changed its course and/or perhaps increased the ferocity. I put nothing past my government anymore.

Great episode, Trish, and I'm super supportive of your stance with the 5th Estate. I fear if you'd done the opposite, you'd have damaged your integrity, somewhat. I would understand that you're proud of your work there and wanted to be part of the festivities, but I'm more impressed that you stand by your ethics. Well done!

A woman of principle - wonderful! We need more of you.

In a disaster of the scale of Hurricane Helene, if you have that many citizens volunteering time, equipment, and supplies, then you have an incredible resource at your disposal that should be made use of. The smart thing to do would be to assign someone to coordinate all those people to direct the aid to where it is most needed. That FEMA is instead doing everything in its power to prevent bringing forward all the resources it has available smacks of malice. The entire chain of command of FEMA should be prosecuted, starting with Mayorkas.

Beautiful. Ray is as kind as he is smart. And a good friend, now, too.

My respect for you has just quadrupled since you turned down the CBC offer to appear in the 5th estate 50th anniversary show. (you were already pretty high up there in my esteem) Congrats on your 25 years of sobriety. You mentioned that you were puzzled that Trudeau is still in office. The answer lies in years of preparation to capture the media, the courts, the legal system, the educational system ,the Senate and much more.He has made himself unaccountable to no one and that is why he gets away with everything he does.He has made himself unstoppable.I even worry about his probable interference in the next election.

Patti's avatar

He's actually not in charge - the globalists are in charge of everything. He's just a puppet!

disappointed's avatar

Guilty as charged. He chose to be a globalist puppet. He chose to be a traitor to this country.

disappointed's avatar

All part of the globalist plan to create mahem and chaos in order to have an excuse for a takeover of EVERYTHING Also part of the population reduction plan.Remember their motto."You will own nothing and be happy." What they don't tell you is the second part to this motto is " We will own everything and be happier.".As far as killing people and/or letting them die without help, these "ELITES"firmly believe that we are much less worthy of life than they are and they are fed up with us dirtying their planet and shitting in their oceans. We need to realize what is actually happening .What a hero this Jonathan Howard. Thanks Trish for bringing him to our attention.

I just had to let him speak. I was very moved and as I said, trucker vibes. These are the lads I grew up with in North Vancouver. They might fail a woke test or two but they will risk their own butt to save yours. We need more of them, not less.

Farmers ,truckers, blue collar guys with common sense to spare and hearts bigger than the planet. How can you not totally LOVE them.

Good interview! And, I especially liked your comments near the end about a) managing your expectations of people - such great counsel!! & b) why you won't join CBC - I like what you said about doing the right thing & it making you (or one) feel cleansed. Well put!!

Loved this podcast topic as I do each one. I also appreciate your integrity with respect to you declining the invitation from the CBC Fifth Estate.

And Happy 25! Keep on keeping it simple. ❤️

From Alistair Crooke today:

"Having no real culture of its own, the western professional class views religion as outdated and sees history as dangerous since it contains components that can be misused by ‘extremists’. It prefers therefore not to know history.

This produces the mixture of the conviction of superiority, yet deep insecurity, which typifies western leadership. The ignorance and fear of events and ideas that fall outside the confines of their rigid zeitgeist, they perceive, almost invariably, as innately inimical to their interests. And rather than seek to discuss and understand, that which is outside their capabilities, they use disparagement and character assassination instead to remove the nuisance"

that's a well written description of the insanity of our "leaders". Sorry I want to throw up by calling them leaders.

A long distance from the wisdom in the Prayer of St. Francis

"...Grant that I may not so much seek

To be consoled as to console;

To be understood, as to understand..."

This is why witness testimony by Deputy Privy Council staff Nathalie Drouin found her catastrophizing about the presence of children (thousands actually) who, along with their parents, were playing ball hockey, eating hot food in the cabs of trucks, making snow sculptures. But for Ms. Drouin the protesters were "using children as human shields." It could be no other way. Senior bureaucrats, one after the other, who I witnessed testifying while I attended the POEC proceedings the week of November 14-18, conjured alarmist visions. None of them would have been able to have a discussion with the protesters, even though officials at the City of Ottawa (who met to execute a plan to begin moving 75% of all the protest vehicles away from Ottawa) expressed surprise at how reasonable the Freedom Convoy representatives were to negotiate with (and who later took photos of the license plates of the over 100 trucks that had left the city by noon on FEB 14th).

I really enjoy listening to Ray..great interview Trish. I have been following you, Roxanne and Gords stuff for awhile and its all excellent. But I cant help bu feel that at the end of the day most Canadians are just not going to get it. They have been so thoroughly brainwashed and terrified by government and the media that its almost impossible for most of them to ever even consider that they were lied too. How many times do people throw conspiracy theory at me or anti-vaxx. There is no rational conversation and I dont even both with most people I know because they just will not listen.

How do you all keep moving forward and keeping hope when so many people just dont get it and you need to fight the mainsteam media that still feeds news to most Canadians. I do believe one day they will get it but I sense that it may take decades to get there. Louis Riel was hung as a traitor and now he is revered but how long did that transformation take.

I admire your courage Trish and I hope and pray that the tide turns more rapidly and forcefully in favour of the convoy supporters but they face long odds with the whole system and most Canadians against them.

Great episode! Listened right after I had a conversation with a friend who sees some of the Covid bs but still bought the propaganda that the convoy was led by “extremist racists.” I did set the record straight and will share this episode with her. The msm is the crux of our issue, in my mind. I am yearning for analysis and discussion - good old civic engagement
