Trump was correct when he said legacy media (Fake News) has become the enemy of the people. In a short election cycle we don’t have the time to see who Carney really is. Especially when the media won’t do their jobs because they’re no longer journalists, they’re propagandists to the high liberal bidder.
How many of CBC/Global/CTV etc… gave front page coverage to the gerrymandering in the Carlton riding (PP’s riding). I only learned about it following the loss of his seat scratching my head thinking “didn’t he win that last election with a vast margin?!”. Turns out, they added a massive liberal riding onto his. One that gets flooded with migrants.
What happened to the NDP? Nearly all their voters disappeared. Deservedly so, Singh was a fool and a charlatan, but guess where all those voters went…
I know first hand that former NDP and Green voters didn’t vote for liberals so much as they voted against the conservatives or the bloc (they voted liberal out of spite).
Carney got in on a minority because there is no longer a left of the liberals. It’s all one big indistinguishable tumour discernible only by binoculars from the centre. Meanwhile, the Liberals with help from the CBC, believe they have been given a mandate.
Let’s all hope Trump squashes Carney like a bug, all while telling our media how good their relationship is. Canada is now a 2 party system where the conservatives may never win a minority again, let alone a majority. The left has to be broken of their fevered extremist leftist views. And that won’t happen with current media who eggs it on to secure their paycheck.
The cognitive dissonance of the left will continue to reach nuclear meltdown levels, as they have some impressive armour fashioned and serviced by the media.
Had a medical visit this week with a gal who is an immigrant from East Asia. She is married, four growing children, holds down two jobs, supports her aging parents back home. A lovely woman. But, oh so busy. We always have great, wide-ranging chats. She often expresses distress about the economy, and how it affects others in her town. In particular, she worries that her children will never be able to own a home.
She wanted to talk election. She surely knew that I would vote Conservative. As we chatted, I threw caution to the wind and offered some of the damaging info about Carney the banker. Her face fell. She said, “But, but … I thought he was an economist.” She went on to say she thought he would fix things so people would be able to buy homes and afford rent.
I sense she is likely like many middle class, lower middle class, working poor who are struggling to make ends meet, and are just too busy to delve into the meat of elections. How much of the pro-Carney, our benevolent “economist” narrative did she swallow from headlines, CBC, CTV, Global, believing she was doing due diligence?
How many Canadians actually watched the debate, went to all-candidate meetings, read op-eds? How many voters had to read the chart in the voting box to know who was their riding candidate? Yes, there is laziness and ignorance, but there is also an innocent-like trust their media outlets are unbiased. They picked up on the tenor of Cdn MSM and voted accordingly.
And two to three years ago, many of us knew the devious Libs would bring in the saviour “economist” and suggest he would clean up the economy. They knew they had the winning formula. Orange-man narrative was icing on their cake.

https://archive.org/details/propaganda-edward-l.-bernays - Edward Bernays is the father of modern propaganda and PR. His principles and techniques are still in use today. He was instrumental in crafting the propaganda program that convinced Americans that entering WWI was in their interest. He developed incredibly effective procedures to manipulate the masses for governments and corporations - techniques that have been use for decades. His books were on Josef Goebbels shelves and the Nazi propaganda minister was an avid follower. Understanding his concepts and techniques is critical to understanding what is happening in Canada today.
It is passing strange that both Goebbels and Hitler are presented as the originators of Nazism and Lying Propaganda and Brainwashing techniques when they were mere students. Notably, Sigmund Freud was Bernay's uncle and Eddie brought him by ship to the USA from Vienna in the 1930s. It is said that as they were approaching New York, Uncle Ziggy said: "They do not know that we are bringing them the plague."
Bernays teachings and techniques have had untold effect on world events for the last 120 years - yet few know or understand this to this day - the same goes for corporate marketing and advertising - much of it comes back to him. Look at video of Canadian boomers in line to vote flapping their elbows like chickens and carrying on as though they were part of a hypnotist's show in Vegas - Bernays fingerprints are all over it. People need to be able to understand when they are being manipulated.
I look at voting rights the same way I look at free speech rights. It has to be for everyone (legal citizens). People will say horrible things and people will vote based on propaganda.
The alternative is frightening, we can't have those power deciding who is worthy to vote or what we can or cannot say. Censorship of either is far to dangerous.
As a Maritimer I enjoyed hearing his perspective from the North. This is what the CBC used to do. Interview voices from around the country. Thanks Trish!
In my observations of Canadian's in the last ten years, is that people who watch Corporate Media, are completely mislead and its been done so purposely. I also see the majority are not informed and vote only what they always vote, regardless of the destruction to the country in their party of choice.
Agree with you, Ashley. I think the problem is not the brainwashed voter, it's that the voter has been brainwashed. The problem needs to be fixed at the feet of the compromised media. If anyone needs laws of constraint, it should be the media: they should NOT be allowed to receive bailout money from the government as a start.
Recommend watching the full interview between Tucker and Catherine Austin Fitts, a financial guru, and a fascinating, godly woman. It also comes with a transcript that, read after watching the interview, helps one to focus on the words and not some of the visual/verbal clutter that may occur in interviews.
While listening/reading, one wonders how much President Trump is aware of the concepts Austin Fitts presented. Given his attack on Harvard Corporation, the institution of Space Force, and other actions, we might suspect he is more than aware. There are also his hints at breakthrough energy. What, indeed, does the future hold?
Never a dull moment, but just as Trish reminds us of the need to be Happy Warriors, Catherine Austin Fitts insists we must never let anyone rob us of Joy.
Well let's face it, everyone commenting everywhere is 'passionate' about their opinions. Facts and figures provided by others, I tend to wait for the ever prevalent verbal attack of being called a 'conspiracy theorist' a term created by the 3 letter agencies hurled at those who stood on a grassy knoll in 1963 and witnessed a dire situation differently than what was being reported, I digress. Therefore, allow me to adjust my tin foil hat. Here I go. The 'election' was, to me, a staged performance by Carney's WEF GLOBALIST bankster buddies and pals Tony Blair and the 'climate catastrophe chicken little sky is falling' KING. This being a 'democracy' afterall, Canadians endured weeks of watching the painstaking efforts of a young family man (46) gathering a following akin to a Rock star, sharing his vision and PLANS to FIX this broken country whilst being subjected to some of the most disgusting inappropriate inaccurate vicious abuse to his CHARACTER I've not witnessed in the 48 years I've been a voter (age 18 - do the math). Between Carney and Trump along with their mainstream media GRIFTING THUGS, I literally revisited the pain of having been bullied in my past by those who I now know to be severely insecure, lacking in self awareness and are downright assholes for lack of any other description. People have criticized Poilievre for 'never having worked a real job'! To that I say he DID, he like others, chose a career and strived for it. Working inside government IS A JOB, for which there are many rules and protocols that must be followed, as well as a steady stream of educational courses offered or required to move up. It's also a hellish environment of backstabbing and scapegoating between those who actually WORK vs those who just warm a chair. CARNEY'S win was inevitable, as much as I'd loved for Poilievre to have won, in my knowledge of what the WEF GLOBALISTS are all about, and IT'S BAD, THEY'RE BAD, VERY BAD, I knew some serious dirt was going on behind the scenes to get this soulless traitor thru the door. As far as Carney's and Trump's "bromance" oh ya, these two have serious dirt on one another it's just a matter of how much and the gathering of MASSIVE EVIDENCE to prove one's point before all hell breaks loose. As for Marty, having met him last June, I found him to be as down to earth one can get with a great sense of humour and caustic wit. He's a smart man who doesn't suffer fools gladly and yes, he's as passionate about his beliefs and opinions as the rest of us. NEVER FORGET this, when Trudeau stepped into power in 2015 he brought the WEF CCP GLOBALISTS in with him, to THAT there is no denying, as it was his JOB to create and unleash the divisiveness across every element of the citizenry of Canada with his 'paid' MSM enforcers backing him. Circling back to my tin foil hat, I'm staring at the late William Cooper's book, 'Behold A Pale Horse' residing on my coffee table, which will give you an idea of how my day will be spent.
Okay, I have to stop watching a moment and comment here. Please don't fool yourself that the next generation of voters are going to vote Conservative. Listen to Alex Newman on the Marxist ideology drenching the education system around the globe, coming out of UNESCO - the next huge wave of voters are all going to be Liberal, and they will be fully ready to throw away our democracy at the drop of a hat. By forcing the SOGI and the AI (developed by the CCP) and all the "systems of oppression" they are learning to be so angry about, they are capturing the youth of the future. I believe if Carney gets a coalition, we will never see the Liberals out and we have just entered into a new age of totalitarianism.
Not sure if this is indicative of trends but a friend has a grade 11 daughter in public high school whose class held a mock election with 52% voting Conservative. This is in the British Properties West Van ( expensive neighborhood ).
I am betting that the SOGI brainwashing experiment will backfire big time. It is easily revealed as a fraud, and once one sees that its proponents are the same people that believe that carbon dioxide is pollution and that "forever wars" must be fought till the end, it won't take much to see through the rest of the propaganda.
True, but the issue we have in BC is that laws are being written that make it hard to fight. Recently, someone was fined 10,000 for advising a friend to reconsider transgender hormones, even though that friend admitted themself that the hormone medications were making them ill and they were considering stopping. The reason given for the fine was for "insult." Also, parents have the law against them if they try to come to the rescue of their children that have been indoctrinated in the schools at the earliest ages - even kindergarten. They simply have no rights at all. All the power is given to the teachers and activists to do what they want to your children. Unless you take them out altogether, they are sitting ducks.
Yes BC is the canary in the coal mine for the rest of Canada. I didn't know about this until I watched the National Citizens Inquiry "Are children safe in Canada?" in the fall of 2024 held in Vancouver. It is absolutely shocking that Canadian children are born to the state and not their parents. The parents have no say especially once in the education system. They are not even "allowed" to take their child to therapy for gender questions. The answer after part 1 of those inquiries is that children are definitely not safe in Canada.
Great interview. Loved it. Regarding MSM. I think they were focused on the promise by the Liberals to raise their salary. Those that work for the government or live by government handouts rarely see (cannot afford to see) the world thru the eyes of the average Canadian that pays taxes based on hard work without generous perks and pensions. I find the CBC commentators absolutely appalling. I am also appalled at some of the guests (ie Christy Clark on CTV) in panel discussions. Absolute rubbish. Liberal supporters show themselves to be crude and rude.
Taking another quote from Winnie the Pooh, Canadians have only begun to to fight, we will fight from coast to coast, to retain Canada by Canadians for Canadians, the fight must go on until Canadians win..God Bless Canada.
The Speaker of the House usually gets their own brand of Canadian whisky to give as gifts. If Elizabeth May is appointed as the Speaker, her brand should be labelled "Dizzy Lizzy".
Let's just say that if she does become the Speaker, the House should install a breathalyzer to unlock a gate and allow her to sit in the Speaker's chair every day before question period.
Marty is absolutely right about "publish or perish" in $cience. As a side gig, I edit technical papers (written in English by doctors and engineers for whom English is a second language) for publication in international science and medical journals. Peer review is NOT what it was meant to be and, in fact, has now become more like "pal review", as journal editors often require authors to submit the names and contact information of several people as potential reviewers of their papers. It's not even anonymous anymore. Science no longer serves truth and humanity and has been corrupted by the blob. These are the same people who look at us with a completely straight face and can't tell us what a woman is and do tell us that the world will end in 12 years if we don't leave all the remaining oil and natural gas in the ground. China has no plans to abandon fossil fuels in favour of green energy. I edit papers all the time about how the Chinese are developing strategies for maximizing the efficiency in exploiting coal, oil, and natural gas to develop their economy. We really need to get rid of the eco-zealots that have hijacked all our institutions before they kill us all with their radical ideology.
Paraphrasing Marcia Angell, (and as a former pharma writer myself) the studies are all bs.
“It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of the New England Journal of Medicine.”
And she said that at least a dozen years ago! You'd think journalists would've referenced this important conclusion during the "covid" op. Nope! Here's another piercing article by her from 2010.
"Often, academic researchers are little more than hired hands who supply human subjects and collect data according to instructions from corporate paymasters. The sponsors keep the data, analyze it, write the papers, and decide whether and when and where to submit them for publication. In multi-center trials, researchers may not even be allowed to see all of the data, an obvious impediment to science and a perversion of standard practice."
In their quest to stay relevant and keep their funding grift going, "$cientists" have done immeasurable harm to many people and should bear full responsibility for that. However, most people have also outsourced their critical thinking skills to the credentialled so-called "experts" with alphabets after their names (and 15 pronouns, 32 flags, and 76 needle emojis in their X bios). The people are just as much to blame for allowing themselves to be fooled as the "experts" are for fooling them.
Bud, I think the difference between the China of today looking to maximize it's economic and technological progress, and Canada / the West, is about 60 years, perhaps 80. The West, or at least the Anglo nations were fairly upbeat about human potential, and their role. But .... whatever the reason, be it the soullessness of modern technology or the cultural subversion from competing interests, we have thrown out our potential. And given it to the kleptocratic class.
Yes, you are right. I'm certainly not suggesting that China (or any other country) doesn't have the right to use whatever energy source(s) it needs to develop its economy as its people deem fit. At the same time, western countries don't need to destroy their own economies so that the climate change alarmists can feel good about themselves for supposedly doing good to "save humanity". Just as veganism is a bourgeois eating disorder--which cannot sustain optimal health long term without considerable supplementation of several essential vitamins that are chemically synthesized from organic compounds (e.g., hydrocarbons)--the radical net-zero ideology is a boutique cause in which only the affluent in society can afford to indulge, and beyond that, a mental illness.
The high priests/priestesses of "The $cience" (TM) have told us for decades that acid rain was going to melt our skin off. Then, the polar ice caps and Greenland's glaciers were melting and would (supposedly) permanently disappear a few years ago and that because of this, the oceans would rise and swallow us all. Well, none of these doomsday predictions has come true, and in fact, I have seen rational estimates of sea-level rise at only about 8 cm over the next 100 years. In other words, barely noticeable in a human lifetime. The Obamas clearly aren't worried about sea-level rise, as they purchased an oceanfront mansion on Martha's Vineyard a few years ago.
My point is that the mechanisms that control Earth's climate are WAY more complex (and robust) than we know, and humans are WAY too arrogant to think that we know everything about them or even that we can control them through a miniscule change in the carbon content of Earth's atmosphere. Moreover, the climate has been changing long before our species arrived on the planet and will continue changing long after our species goes extinct. Several credible scientists disagree with the orthodoxy that climate change is an existential threat, yet they are silenced. True science has always progressed by vigorous debate. Censorship of dissent is not science; it's a characteristic of a cult, which adherents know their ideas cannot withstand scrutiny. And the political left has become so intolerant of dissent and illiberal; they have devolved into a cult.
Then, Covid came along and was supposed to wipe out half of humanity if everyone didn't dutifully line up to take the "mystery juice" (and I say this as someone who took two Pfizer shots). And despite all their fancy models, the gatekeepers of "The $cience" (TM) were wrong again and were not held accountable for not only being wrong but also all the harm that they did to people. We don't have proper scientists any more. We have a bunch of scaredy-cat chimpanzees, afraid of their own shadows, dressed in white lab coats, and running around like Chicken Little screaming "The sky is falling!" They do an utter disservice to humanity just so that they can keep their funding grift going.
Bud, yes I think you've got it. For people raised in a multi decadal education system, it must be hard to admit to themselves that much of it was erroneous. The real world of politics and science being part theatre, fiction, and going along to get along (bullied by fear).
The climate scams are clearly designed to de-industrialize the West, paving the way for a technocracy run by AI. Just as the CO2 ruse was used to guilt the populace into self immolation, the debt scam is also used to impoverish the whole world, excluding China. Circa year 2000, StatsCan revealed that since 1867 the federal government had paid $16 for every dollar it 'borrowed' from private banks, yet it still owed a crippling debt at the time. In a nutshell, there lies the mechanism for world control, just a financial sleight of hand to cripple society. On the basis of which all governments worldwide are agreeing to depopulate, and let AI rule over us.
When primitive societies were over run by higher tech invaders, the Europeans for instance, they had to acquiesce and assimilate. We are doing the same today.
Always like listening to Marty because he does make so much sense, and for those of use that are more right brained look at things through emotions and intuitions or perhaps gut feelings, its great to get perspective from an engineer who looks at things more logically. I have listened to quite a number of rehashes of the election and have done my own on my substack. And ultimately I too, like you was angry at Trump for sticking his nose into things. At first I defended it, but later I just thought shut the f--k up, which he finally did, but it was too late. Poilievre did not stand a chance, perhaps some it had to do with his advisors, but we know the elephant in the room was the media, who were out with knives. Ray McGinnis gave me a little tidbit that kind of solidifies blatant bias. After the horrible tragedy in Vancouver, CBC carried the condolences that Carney gave to the community, as well as Singh's and even Blanchet's. Poilievre made his statements at a Filipino church in Mississauga on Sunday, April 27th (See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOx1lBU7eLs), but that wasn't carried. Instead they showed him at one of his rallies, shaking hands and smiling like he was oblivious to the tragedy.
Now add to that the clip you showed in your substack with Robert Fife and David Cochrane. Fife, who must have had some stern words from the senior folks at the Globe after he published the piece on Carney glad handing with pre-Beijing businessmen, because he's been slagging Poilievre ever since. The exchange between him and David Cochrane with Cochrane exploding into guffaws of laughter because Fife said some people thought Poilievre was a 'dick'. Seriously why that word? Could he not have said, that Conservative canvassers were told by some they didn't like Poilievre. It was disgusting and again such a blatant bias it was truly hard to stomach. And then Cochrane after he gets himself under control mumbles something about having to fill our some ombudsmen forms. He should have been fired, I think he would have in a different time and place.
As I said I did my own dissection of what happened in this election, that leaves a lot of us feeling like it was stolen or at least that it wasn't like any previous ones in recent memory not even the ridiculous 2021 election that Trudeau called in the middle of the pandemic with a clear naked goal of getting a majority government back. He didn't which was satisfactory to most us given how O'Toole really betrayed his base anyhow. But then it Singh came along with an offer Trudeau couldn't refuse. But Singh as Stephen Harper pointed out was the only guy to negotiate and deal to prop up the Trudeau government and come away with nothing. Here's my substack titled Fear, Deception, Division and Dirty Tricks The Liberal Playbook.https://roxannehalverson.substack.com/p/fear-deception-division-and-dirty
Dr Meat (Carney) needs a new honorific - 'Monster'. His idea of bringing King Floppy Ears over to read the riot act... I mean the Throne Speech, reminds me a lot of the recent pageantry of SS Waffen Brigade Nazi Bohudunk [sic] Hunka and the multiple standing ovations he basked in, given by the ENTIRE parliament.
After that, anything goes I guess. The place will need to be autoclaved once Democracy is restored.
The fact he joined the LPC in order to vote on their leadership is the ESSENCE of what's wrong with our democracy. This problem also dominates USA politics. People should be a party member for an entire electoral cycle before being allowed to participate in party affairs. The concept of ramping up members just before elections disgusts me.
Marty Up North made an obscure reference to an independent Alberta being a potential member of the G30, like Ireland. This suggests that the G30 is a club of nations, like the G7. It is not. As Wiki states: “The Group of Thirty, often abbreviated to G30, is an international body of financiers and academics which aims to deepen understanding of economic and financial issues and to examine consequences of decisions made in the public and private sectors.” Mark Carney was its chair until he stepped down to run for the leadership of the Liberal Party of Canada. Is this the Irish reference Marty was making, given that Mark Carney is an Irish citizen and a proud European? In any case, if anyone took away from what he said that Alberta taken on its own would be one of the top 30 economies in the world, that is quite wrong. Ireland itself according to the IMF projections for 2025 for GDP on a PPP basis has the 38th largest economy in the world. Canada had the 16th largest economy in the world, and Alberta had about a 15.4% share of the Canadian economy in 2023, so Alberta by itself would be around 58th in rank among the world’s countries, just behind Uzbekistan and ahead of Kenya.
As for Marty’s statement that the US economy is booming, the advance estimate by the BEA for 2025Q1 shows a decline in real GDP of 0.3% on an annualized basis. No wonder Marty doesn’t like the word “misinformation”, since he is a purveyor of it.

I agree with you but I do understand his frustration. He is a good interview with lots of wisdom.
Absolutely frightening how many people absorb corporate media without question and choose to dismiss blatant facts.
Absolutely. I think the dishonest media might me out biggest problem. :(
The only ever true democracy was Greek democracy where the owners of land decided what happened on the land.
She is a friend.
The Catherine Austin Fitts interview was terrific. She provides jaw-dropping insights.
I was a great fan of CAF but her praising Tucker Carlson as she did in the last video does not behoove well. Rethink my view on CAF.
We should also be concerned about the 15 minute cities. You'll eat bugs and own nothing. Carney is all over that. C40.org Globalgovernanceofmayos.com
Likely, speaker May would have a hard time keeping those bottles sealed. Imagine being gifted an opened bottle of "Dizzy Lizzy". :-)
No thanks. She probably backwashed in it. Imagine the irony of a Speaker so wasted that she could barely speak!

Mic drop! Thanks for sharing!

Another great find! Thank you!
Very true, and a hard lesson for many, I expect.
Hello.
Yeah someone is the dick but it isn't Pierre Polievre. The mainstream media are the laughing dicks. :(
Arrested development on display in 'high' places. We should all take note.
Reminds me of Don Lemon, Rick Wilson, and Wajahat Ali laughing at Trump voters in early 2020.
The concept of ramping up members just before elections disgusts me.
very undemocratic too. perhaps it's time for a meritocracy (compare: a head surgeon in charge of a hospital rather than a manager).
Hell no!!! That thinking gave us insane covid policies!
